Bet you'll like it even more on an outdoor patio. The second bar from the folks behind beloved anti-Wash Ave ice house, Liberty Station is even better than its predecessor. The Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood watering hole has got everything Liberty is loved for: open-air concept, come-as-you-are ambiance, plus everything it didn't have space for: more taps, a full kitchen and three times the outdoor space.

It's worth braving the unpaved parking lot, and walking through the dusty lot to enter the gates of Cottonwood. The hip bar captures the quintessential Texan spirit with its huge patio with wooden benches charmingly lit with string lights. Inside, the cool chandeliers give off this welcoming glow, highlighting the center section of craft beers on tap. On many a night, hungry patrons can also partake of food truck food, offered by various food trucks parked in front.

Cottonwood, the new sibling of Liberty Station, boasts a HUGE patio, games, an excellently curated cocktail and draught list plus more-than-your-average bar food like pate, poblano rings and crispy calamari. Even the aesthetics are pleasing, from custom-made warehouse doors leading to the patio, to the oversize blackboard menu, this place is sure to please all levels of beer and cocktail drinkers.

An upscale ice house with a couple dozen craft beers on tap, craft cocktails & an eclectic menu. Garlicky BBQ oysters are a must try, as are the salmon deviled eggs.
