Local Foods is the brainchild of Benjy's chef Benjy Levit and stays true to the chef's commitment to locally sourced foods and farm-to-table philosophy. Perfect for lunch, it's all about casual counter service with fresh prepared sandwiches, salads and soups. A favorite is the duck confit sandwich, made with brie, arugula and cranberry preserve. It's like Thanksgiving, only fancy. Also on my personal to-check list is the on-tap root beer by local food truck demigods and soon-to-be brewers The Eatsie Boys.If you're not feeling hunger pangs, stop in for a selection of spotlighted local packaged foods including granola, Grateful Bread Worcestershire sauce and Hill Country olive oil.
