My small party and I went on a Saturday
when it was not very busy. However, we had a hard time getting the one, sole waitress' s attention at times.
The food was presented as "traditional Mexican"; however, even the authentic Mexican man at our table described their carne guisada as "sweet" when it should have been spicy.
The manager was either too lazy or didn't care enough to come out to find out why the dish was returned, as most decent mangers have done so whenever I have returned a dish. In fact, when we left, the manager gave the dish back in a "to-go" box---the plan, I figure, was so as to have a reason to not remove it from our ticket. I can assure you, the only place it would have gone had I taken it out was straight to the trash can. Why take something home when you couldn't swallow it in the restaurant?
The food I can forgive as tastes do vary. There is no excuse, however, for the poor management. My impression is that not only does the manager not care what people think about their food, he or she (since he or she did not bother to come out to the front) does not care about return business either.
Don't waste your time eating here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area who know what service means.
