Extremely rude staff over priced average tasting food, this place really sucked !
Great meal Excellent Service. very happy we left saltwater grill and ate here instead.....
I will not return. Average food and inattentive service, although there are some flavorful items on the menu, they are over priced. I recently had dinner and our large party split the check. Much to my dismay when my bank transaction went through, our waiter had added an additional $7 gratuity to a credit card transaction that I had already authorized. When I called the restaurant to speak with a manager he told me someone would call me back the next day and that it "must be a mistake". 4 days later, no return phone call. I will not return and advise you to be careful and save your credit card receipts.
Fabulous Service, Great Atmosphere. Upscale, romantic environment. Wonderful, attentive and knowledgable waitstaff. Fabulous food! My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary and had a great experience.
Inspired Latin American cuisine in an upscale setting at the edge of the Strand..
In Short
Though the name suggests a more casual taco bar, Rudy & Paco's is actually an up-market restaurant specializing in Central and Latin American cuisine. This eatery serves up unique dishes typical of Costa Rica, Argentina and other Latin American countries. Fried plantain chips, rather than tortilla chips, are served while diners ponder the menu, which is filled with chicken, beef and seafood dishes. The dining room is fancy enough for a date or special event.
Best of Galveston. Highly recomended for outstanding service, exceptional food and a great time. Owner and operator makes everyone feel like a long tie friend when he is on the floor. The chef's specials are sublime. The Tuna w/ Japapeno Cream sauce is incredible.
Hidden Gem. We stopped in unannounced on a night when there was a show at the opera house. We were seated before we finished one cocktail. The services was outstanding... better than many of the VERY expensive restaurants in Houston. The food was better than I've had at such "recommended" restaurants as Aries. When you're in Galveston, this is one place you don't want to miss.
