Great Atmosphere and Exceptional Facility. My family has been members here for almost a year now and I can say that there is no other club like the MAC anywhere in Houston. Aside from the wide range of equipment, (which includes and outstanding aquatics center), this club has a family atmosphere and neighborhood feel. If you're looking for a meat market this is not your place to work out. We find MAC to be a full service gym that cares as much about you AFTER you join as opposed to before. Best of all, the child care is FREE!!!!

Houstons worst gym. You walk in the door and the receptionists are too busy reading their books or watching the TV turned to 99 decibels to greet you.

Upstairs tiny rooms crammed full of equipment but surrounded by squash courts crack blamm, no sound insulation.

Overhead TVs blast away. No wonder the gym is empty at night, compare this to any busy 24 H FITNESS at 8pm and you see which provides the right service

I LOVE love love this gym. I joined this gym when I was referred to a specific trainer and totally love it. There is always parking, the gym is nice, locker rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I think because they charge a higher monthly fee, it keeps the gym less busy during peak hours, which is great!

There are always good looking people working out and that helps with motivation!

I would not chose another gym over this one.

Great, family-style neighborhood work out center. My family and I have been working out at MAC for almost a year now. It is such a vibrant part of this local community. We see all of our neighbors and area business owners working out here. All of our kids go to the same school. For those of us who are not competing in the Mr. Olympia contest, there is no intimidation factor here at all. It is currently under renovation-- which is much-needed-- so, on the negative side, you do put up with some excess noise from construction. That should get better soon, however. Overall, highly recommended!

Great neighborhood gym!. This place feels like home--comfy like an big sweatshirt. You won't feel like you have to loose weight before you go or have the right clothes--you get my drift. The staff are real people and know that you are too.
