Good breakfast, Fantastic gourmet coffee. For a chain restaurant this place is really good. If you don't like eggs you probably won't like this restaurant. But, if, like me, you love eggs, this is the place for you. There are some eggless items, but not many. One pleasant surprise was the coffee. There were 3 or 4 choices including Costa Rican and a bold African blend. Very nice. The service was another thing to note. From the hostess to the waiter to the managers roaming the floor, everyone was very friendly and we never were left wanting for anything. Nice place to take the family!

Overpriced, Awful Service, Tacky Decor. I have to say that this was probably the most mediocre experience I've ever had at an eatery.

I should have turned around and left when the hostess seemed off-put that my party would bother to be seated.

As I was (reluctantly) seated, I took note of the interior. I'm not sure what the designer was going for, but the result resembles a bizarre cross between a church meeting room and a nursing home. The booths have seating that resembles (and are as comfortable as) park benches. There are slightly condescending remarks written on the wall: a 4 or 5 foot inscription reading "Your mother told you to eat your eggs!" (or something to that effect) glared at me from the wall. The overall atmosphere was bland. Hodgepodge, fake foliage is scattered about. I got the impression that I was supposed to feel as if I was in a 'down-to-earth' or 'home-style' environment, inspired by stereotypes of the french countryside. Overall, it just felt artificial and chain-like.

I was surprised by how extensive (and expensive) the menu is. It was composed of food selections from three categories: classic "american" breakfast food, faux-mediterranean, and southwestern/tex-mex inspired selections. Everything seemed unusually expensive. They do offer a discount for seniors (and given the age of the crowd there, it seems like the seniors in the area are happy to cash in on that).

The service was inexcusably slow. There were two waitresses covering the ten or so tables near us, but we were rarely checked up on. Drinks went without refill. The kitchen can't seem to crank out relatively simple orders in good time. Nearly every category of food on the menu shares the same basic components; the kitchen definitely has efficiency issues. The waitress ensured the bills were more scrambled than my eggs were - every table near us got the wrong bill. The patrons worked to sort it out, and we collectively discovered that some of the bills didn't even seem to be for our area of the restaurant at all.

The food was disappointing for the price: it wasn't any different than what you'd expect at your run-of-the mill diner. I've often had better portions for less money at diners, to boot. The food appeared bland and unappetizing on the whole, which is unacceptable at the prices this restaurant is asking.

Do yourself a favor, and take your breakfast/lunch patronage elsewhere.
