After more than year and a half claiming for warranty repair and Hallmark pools just give me excuses and says their contractors came to repair, but the thru is that the damages are there and nobody have shown up ever. They have done a poor job, using low quality materials and walked away. Be carefull with this pool company I strongly not recommend doing business with them.

My husband and I recently signed a contract with Joe the owner of Hallmark pools. I was a little hesitant at first due to so many negative reviews. If It looks like a duck and quack it's a (DUCK) Joe has taken the majority of the money with the exception of $2000 dollars and my pool is not finished. We have given approx $23000 and our yard looks horrible. Now we've had to hire an attorney and were consulting with another contractor. When you read these reviews please be aware.... Joe will give you many excuses for each review and make you think every review is an unjust sabotage. The reviews are real and the people who have been wronged are real. My husband and I have waited so long to have a pool this was suppose to be a real treat for us. My husband and I aren't rich were just everyday hard working people who (Joe) has taken advantage of. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HALLMARK POOLS!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, where should I start with Hallmark Pool & Spas??? I'll just start from the very beginning. Joe, he is the man that'll cause you all the problems. You'll call him and tell him you want a pool in your backyard, Joe will come to house and give you so many beuatiful pictures of backyards and pool that "he" designed. This is probably the first lie told to you, he steals pictures from other big company designs in order to persuade that he has done an amazing job in the past. Maybe you're like me and called many other pool companies to come and give you offers for pools just so you can compare the prices. Joe will come and give you the lowest price, guaranteed. He'll act like your new best friend and have complete persuasion. Joe is going to give a date after the agreement and say he promises the pool will be finished by then, if not he'll give you a discount for every day he goes over the deadline. This promise will not be on paper, of course, nor will you shake on it. Pool construction only should start, Joe will delay everything by at least 3 days. When you call him to ask where is his crew and himself to do the job, he won't answer. He is going to ignore all your calls and your texts until the day is over and HE calls or texts you. My pool started in late June and should've been done mid-July, with every week he delays his finish date. Now in late mid-August, Joe has ALMOST finished after many threats towards him. I'm done with him, I cancelled our "plans" and allowed a local company to finish his job. They finished much more work in a day then he's done in 2 weeks, NO EXXAGERATION.

P.S. I literrally just made this account for this review, don't you dare put yourself through my trouble no matter what price or friendliness Joe offers. He is a liar and cheater.

Hallmark Pools. Hallmark has been working on our pool and has done a good job to date. there have been delays but we are awaiting completion shortly.

We Love Hallmark Pools. This company is awesome!! After careful review of several different pool builders. We decided to go with Hallmark Pools. We are so happy we did. Not only did they have the best design and the best price, but the owner Joe Forbert was so personable and professional. Our salesman Richard Pemberton, was such a pleasure to work, always keeping our needs in mind. Our pool was completed right on schedule. It is absolutely a backyard paradise thanks to Hallmark Pools. It has truly brought our family so much closer as we now spend so much more time together at the pool. We cannot thank you enough Hallmark Pools!! You are welcome to spend time with our family at the dream pool you created for us!!

HALLMARK DID A GREAT JOB FOR ME. I just finished a pool with Hallmark . They did a great job for me. After my pool started , my wife found this review of Hallmark Pools. Things just didn't fit with what we were reading. So I confronted Joe about the review. He told me that the person who wrote this review about photos works for another company building outdoor kitchens. Joe acknowledged he had used a photo of his pool in an advertisement that had their outdoor kitchen in it. He said he called and talked to the person who posted the ad and took the picture off his advertisements. Whats funny about all of this is Hallmark Pools had plenty of pools in the Sugar Land area to go look at that were not even in his web site and I have to say that Hallmark Pools had the best looking pools out of all other pool companies. my advice to Hallmark is to put those pools on your web site . I think Joe has a unique ability to design pools and although he was more expensive than the other companies we talked to , we felt we were getting more for our money after all was said and done . Joe did a great job for my family as well as many other in my neighborhood and I am sure if you talk to Joe F ...he will set the record straight. It would be worth your while to call Hallmark Pools ...they had the best design and the best price for the money we spent. I would recommend HALLMARK POOLS.

Nightmare In Sugar Land. Day 80 (11-03-2011) and counting and I do not have a pool yet. Hallmark Pools & Spas and owner Joe Forbert abandoned my project. I paid according to schedule until the gunite contractor showed up at my house trying to collect his invoice. Hallmark gave me excuses for 10 days after gunite cure time for not sending the plumbing crew and blamed it on the fires in Magnolia. He was prompt to excavate, rebar and gunite to collect the majority of the total contract but afterwards he would not answer our calls and would not show up. Joe Forbert failed in supervising the project. My backyard was often trashed by his unprofessional subs. We had to correct the mistakes of the rebar and gunite contractors. They had to rip out and redo the drainage which took 2 weeks. I met with his attorney and he promised that he would make sure the pool is finished and he would be the point of contact but he does not return our calls or emails. There is a lot more to say but I will save you the time. In my opinion, you should find another swimming pool builder and please do not pay them all the money upfront. I paid for my mistake in going with Hallmark Pools and Joe Forbert and lost a lot of money. DO NOT REPEAT MY MISTAKE OR YOU WILL PAY TOO.

HALLMARK CHEATED ME. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK! I would never, ever use this company or recommend them to anyone. Joe Fobert lied to me on every single occasion when building my pool and pool house. I had to hire a separate company to come in and fix the multitude of unprofessional and negligent discrepancies. The company recently declared bankruptcy to escape unhappy customers like me. It is criminal that these people are allowed to stay in business. Most Importantly, the fundamental design of the pool does not work. The autofill feature does not function nor does the Infinity Edge Basin. All were designed and installed incorrectly. And do not let them fool you by offering a $100 per day guarantee that the work will be completed on time. This too is a scam. Not only did they "finish" or abandon the site months after the Guaranteed Completion Date, they never paid this money. This company, whichever name they hid under, is a ripoff. Talk to their suppliers. They owe money to suppliers all over the area. Joe Fobert and his "manager" Steve will cheat you. Pure and simple. I am more than happy to share ALL DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE AND PUT ANYONE IN TOUCH WITH MY ATTORNEY SHOULD THEY NEED VERIFICATION OF THE FACTS CONTAINED HEREIN. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Uses other people's photos as his own. It is sad that this company continues to use photos in their advertisements of other company's design and construction, then represents it as their own work. When talking to Joe Forbert (the owner), he acknowledged this fact and continues without regard. I would be warned about this company.
