Bob is the best chef in all of Houston :). Great spot, chill with a great clientele. Chef's food is phenomenal and should be enjoyed on fine china but luckily you get to dine with friends patio style.

Hoping they will sign up with Barlive soon. Great iphone app!

Citysearch Editorial Review. Unlike its neighboring Midtown drinking establishments, Community Bar has no valet parking, no dress code and no dance floor. (There is some disco lighting and blaring hip hop after dark, but that mostly seems out of place.) Patrons of varying age are content to meet up with their own friends in the tiny, neutral-colored interior and sip beer in an intimate sofa nook or out on the roomier back patio. Take notice of the inconspicuous "Food Served" sign above the bar because that is where Community Bar shines. Bangkok ravioli (potstickers tossed in green curry), ginger-spiked, honey-glazed center-cut pork loin and an array of tacos are prepared by Chef Bob and available to any average Joe lucky enough to wander in.
