“Growing up near NYC, I ate nothing but fabulous NYC pizza.”
“Since I can't drive 72 miles round trip every week, R.C. sells his fresh dough, enough to make an 18" pizza, for five bucks.”
Best Pizza in KIngwood, Humble, Maybe Texas!!!. I went to RC's Pizza in Kingwood to order myself a Gluten Free pizza....All I can say is YUMMY!!! I had the Meaty New Yorker. It has been a long time since I have had pizza so I was a bit skeptical but no more. RC's Pizza, THANK YOU, for offering such a great pizza to those of us who are gluten free. ALSO the manager and staff are fantastic. They really care about their customers!!!
Houston's BEST New York Pizza. Being an Italian from NY, I have had the chance to eat a lot of delicious foods. However, since I have moved to the Houston area, I haven't found a good pie. Until now. I read an article Ken Hoffman wrote about this little out of the way pizza joint in Kingwood, so I HAD to try it. So I tried it and let me tell you, it's just like back home. This place is on my A-list now. You gotta try it. Service is great! The place is clean.
This place has fairly good Pizza - another claim to NY style - but its NOT NY Pizza - sauce is weak
Crust is excellent. Cheese quality fair.
I am x new yorker and I KNOW great pizza !!!
Ira, sorry to hear that you don't think we have the best pizza around. (This side of the Hudson) As you can tell from other write-ups here and on other sites, we have a strong following from XNYers and they believe we are the best as do I. So I can only conclude that you perhaps caught me on a bad day. Please call me and allow me to buy you your next pie. 281-358-4663(GOOD) If I'm not there, leave a message and # and I will get right back to you. Thanks, RC
Finally! a REAL NYC style Pizza in Houston.
Growing up near NYC, I ate nothing but fabulous NYC pizza. For you people who like Pizza Hut or Domino's, the difference is that the NY style crust is thin, but is not crispy-crunchy. It has lots of flavor and not like eating a cracker or a piece of thick bread. It's the perfect blend of thin and soft. Also, R.C. uses whole milk cheese, not that stuff made with skim. The owner studied how to make pizza in NYC and he learned his lesson well. Since I can't drive 72 miles round trip every week, R.C. sells his fresh dough, enough to make an 18" pizza, for five bucks. I know I can't match his toppings, but the most important ingredient is the crust so at least I can buy some of that and feeeze it for later use.
If you know NY Style pizza, this is the place to go for the real thing. If you like chain-store pizza, give this a try and you'll take Pizza Hut off your speed dial. You lucky people in Kingwood can get delivery to your home or place of business. Lucky!
