Art Square Studios

Artists are known for two things, their unappealing temperaments and their love of the sauce. In Houston they’re also know for living in EaDo, the city’s best-known hub of artist studios and funky galleries, but that could change as the overhauled Art Square studios, lures them to Midtown with the promise of wine bars. The two-story, renovated multi-use complex contains 40,000 square feet of space that the developers hope to lease to restaurants and wine bars on the ground floor, while reserving the second story for artists. Just a tip, pack your paintbrush fast, the second floor is already bubbling; 19 of the 21 studio spaces have been claimed.
