This veggie-centric bistro on the east end of the Westheimer restaurant strip is helmed by vegan chef German Mosquera and sources its greens several times a week from local farmers markets, which makes for a constantly updated menu. Local, organic and green is Chef Chandler Rothbard's mantra at Roots Bistro. Favorites here include Kale + Avocado Salad, Poached Lobster and off-the-menu Beef Wellington. Also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine - and their Market Cheese plate is plentiful and well priced.

As the name suggests, this farm-to-table restaurant is all about local. Such fresh, organic food makes for somewhat pricey dishes, but they're worth the splurge.

The food is spectacular!
I was a little annoyed that the hostess was not present when we walked in, but that's my only complaint.
The food was awesome. The sliders were even better. Lobster bisque was delicious. I plan on coming back at least once a month. I love this place.
