Convivi-NO!. Carolina and Jacob tend bar at this place, and they were the service highlights of the evening. I'm told the restaurant had a soft opening in September and is still experiencing growing pains. Clearly when the best service at your restaurant is behind the bar, your execution plan just isn't working. Sit down at a table and start requesting a menu, bread, water, wine, or tapas and you're in for a BIG, HUGE disappointment. The noise is so deafening, you can hardly hear the person next to you, and it's nearly impossible for your waiter to hear an order request. Not that it matters. Even if he does hear you, he either won't write it down or brings it 20 minutes later. We're talking small plates of tomato halves, a splash of basalmic, and a watercress sprig! The food was just okay. The 'calamares' with alioli was my personal favorite. This place won't survive on mediocre tapas and zero service. I hope they figure out how to make it work.
