Houston >Organic Spatopia
I have been trying to reach the shop by
phone to cancel an appointment for three days now and the phone is constantly busy.
Would be nice to have an email address on website.
I bought a living social deal for $35 for a massage. I rarely get massages so I was very excited but it took me 2.5 months to get into the store. While there, the lady was nice and all but the massage therapist was eating and drinking during the massage and asked if she could play bob marley instead of spa music. I prefer spa music because I would like to feel like I am in a SPA. Nonetheless, the massage therapist was nice but I wouldn't return. I felt very uncomfortable getting a massage and hearing chewing in my ears and bob marley music. I don't know much but I know that I would never let anyone eat while on the job especially while giving a massage. living social/groupon PLEASE stop selling for this company. I just got on groupon and saw that 1000 people purchased manis/pedis.. oh they will be disappointed!
This place does not want business, got
a deal off of living social , my sister in law and I first tried a walk in. They could not help us told us to make an appointment. Then when I told the lady for the following Tuesday she made it. So this past Tuesday we when our appt. was moved to like the 21st, which we never did. They never answered their phone, when we tried to call . When we got their they were all eating lunch and not one client but they were busy. And they were all booked up by appointments. They are very rude, arrogant, and ugly. I called living social for my money back. I also told them never to use theses people ever again. They stereo type their clients. I say that because I called 2 hours later and the receptionist told me they take walk ins and the had availability for appointments for the following day. But for me and my sister in law they were supposedly booked up for the entire week.
If I could rate them a 1/2 a star I would.
Lovely Experience.. I came here with some my friends for manicure and pedicure last week. Totally was lovely place. The staffs were very friendly and very professional. Even- thought, we bought from group on without the happy hour time, we still have some offer Mimosa from the Owner. Treat us really special. The Spa was very clean, cute, and modern look. Love the pedicure chairs, so comfortable. Special my manicure stay really well. Been 6 days already still look really nice. Definently will come back with "happy hour"
Horrible Management! AWFUL PLACE. I purchased a Groupon for a manicure & pedicure. My first appointment was cancelled ( by the facility) with less than 24 hours notice. When I finally got in for the services, the manager there (Annie) was rude, condescending, and an outright (word that sounds like WITCH)! Upon checking me in, she was rude and snappy. When I selected my manicure and pedicure colors (which were different because one was Shellac), I realized they weren't as close a match as I thought so I asked to change the Shellac color (BEFORE any color had even been applied). The owner Annie was rude to me once again and tried to MAKE me keep the color I didn't want! I had to ask 3 times before she brought over the color I desired. As I got my pedicure, Annie walked around like a slave-driver rudely barking orders to the nail techs there. She even called one "stupid" in front of us customers and said in front of everyone that she was going to fire the "stupid" worker right then and there! I had a heated conversation with the owner about how badly she treated her customers and staff (I heard her raise her voice to another customer who came in after me also). The poor technician ran to the back in tears. Although the techs were good, I will NEVER GO BACK THERE BECAUSE OF THE TERRIBLE OWNER ANNIE. I personally don't spend my money where businesses treat customers and staff with such indecency.
I love this Spa. Great Servive, the staffs are great and friendly. I came to this spa for my Wedding party, we truly enjoyed our experience. Those chairs are to die for it.
And very important that this spa is totally organic, no chemical. We will definitely come back and will become regular customers this Spa.
Thanks so much!
Horrible service!!!. Walked in to have a pedi/mani and to use my groupon and the receptionist said they were booked with not one person in the place and to call and make an appointment. I called today (April 13th) to get an appointment and the lady on the phone was about to make an appointment for today until I said I had a groupon and she said the earliest she could get me in was May 11th..(a month away). Really???? This is the worst service I have ever experienced for a place that does this kind of service. You would think they would want to build their business through groupon with great service so that people come back to them. Everytime I go by, the place is dead inside.
Unprofessional and Horrible Service when scheduling an appt.. I rated with one star since CitySearch requires it in order to write a review but my experience does not deserve one. I purchased a groupon for a mani and pedi. I've tried scheduling an appointment for the last 6 months and my re scheduled appt was pushed a month out 5 different times. The receptionist or whoever answers the phone was not couturious when I asked her why it was so difficult to schedule an appt. The impression given was that they do not need or want my business. I received a refund from Groupon and Groupon also let me know that I was not the only one having this issue and they apologized. If you are having problems booking, get your money back as they are not accomodating and are not professional. Good luck!
Not your average nail salon.
I bought a Groupon for a Mani/Pedi- but after looking at all of the reviews I started to get a little worried...
The individual that scheduled my appointment had not actually written it down on the date book, but they only made me wait about five minutes and got me right in. They had a decent selection of colors to choose from and I was impressed by the brands (Essie, OPI and Zoya)- in other reviews it was mentioned that they were off-brand and crappy.
I was disappointed that they did not have whirlpool tubs for the feet- the given reason was that it was not as sanitary. However, once they put some unknown awesome substance in the tub, I started to not feel so bad about it. :)
I think if someone were to come here looking for a "traditional" manicure and pedicure they would be disappointed. The process they do is just LESS INVASIVE- meaning- no harsh filing of the feet, very little cuticle cutting, etc.
I do wish that they would have spent a little more time massaging- but THAT MASSAGE CHAIR IS AMAZING. You're pretty much laying down in a massaging lazy boy the entire process. That chair was one of the things that made me so pleased with the experience. I'm pretty sure I could just lay there for an hour and have my money worth right there! lol
Also, my nails really do look amazing. They are very shiny and properly done.
All in all- I really did enjoy myself. Just don't go in there thinking you're going to get buffed/picked/cut to oblivion. It's more of a "holistic" approach to nail care.
(Plus- the owner makes all of the body products on site- and they smell and feel amazing!)
Very pleasant experience. I used a Groupon and had no trouble with using it here. The staff is courteous and the service very, very good. I will gladly return here. I have no complaints whatsoever! :) Shara did my nails by the way, and it looks great.
