Everything I Was Looking For - Great For Special Needs Child. I have a four year old son with Aspergers and I couldn't ask for any better treatment. Dr. Shaw and her staff were extremely patient and understanding. The office is very nice and is designed around children everywhere you look. After the initial visit my son needs more extensive work done and the estimate I was given was exceptionally fair. Dr. Shaw took the time to explain everything as she went along and really made it a personal experience.

I can safely say that we have found the only dentist my children will ever see.

FINALLY I found an Awesome Pediatric Dentist. We LOVED Dr. Shaw and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. I have 3 boys ages 4,5,&6 and they are, to say the least, a force to be reckoned with especially when they're all together. I've been to several different dentists and Dr. Shaw is the first to handle my 3 boys simultaneously with ease and patience and with a fun and super positive demeanor. She was so sweet and made sure to make all of my boys comfortable with the process. When my oldest started to get nervous and challenging, instead of getting short and stern (like other Docs we've had), she and her staff went as far as to show my oldest each and every tool that would be used during the cleaning and explain how they would be used. They reassured him that he wouldn't feel any pain and he really responded to them. He is a very cautious type A personality and has a major fear of any kind of doctor. She was the first dentist to be able to put him at ease and make him feel relaxed. She actually sang to him throughout the entire cleaning and it seemed to really help him feel relaxed. She has a great demeanor with children which is what I've found lacking in most "pediatric" dentists. You can tell the Dr. Shaw really loves kids and has a passion for what she does. During the visit she called me over to point out a few things with their cleaning and with their x-rays that I needed to take note of, which is way more than any other dentist has offered. I really like the fact that my husband and i were welcomed in the back during x-rays and during the cleaning, many dentists don't allow parents to be with their kids during the cleaning and my kids have definitely had a hard time dealing with that in the past, so kuddos for the "parents allowed" policy. She gave me lots of good up to date information about how to care for their teeth based on studies she has researched, and explained why she used some of the techniques and advice she gives. Again...I really hope you give Dr. Shaw a chance, as an experienced parent who's had several other dentists I can say without hesitation that she is to date the best we've had and we will stay with Dr. Shaw till she won't see us anymore!.
