I found Sela while desperately searching for someone to help correct the damage I had done to my hair over twenty years of coloring, and most recently, from the anxiety and stress of losing my father, I had taken to "trimming" my hair myself.

The result? A disaster.

After a few months of allowing my roots to grow out in their natural color of grey, I started wearing hats when I left the house. This made me even more depressed. And I had no idea who to call.

I look up "gray hair color specialist" and found several salons in Friendswood and started calling them. The only one that could see me right away was Sela.

She took one look at me and knew that I needed a complete makeover. It took her almost three hours, but she really did work a miracle. I am actually presentable now.

She matched the color perfectly and evened everything out so that it will grow out better. Even better, I can leave the hat in the closet now.

Thank you Sela for taking such great care of me. You are appreciated!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT MY HAIR WITHOUT CRYING! ALL SHE DID WAS CHARGE ME TO PUT A FEW STRIPS OF BLEACH HERE AND THERE,SHOVE ME AROUND ROUGHLY, AND GIVE ME A LOPSIDED HAIRCUT! I HAD TO BITE DOWN ON MY TONGUE THE WHOLE TIME SHE WAS DOING MY HAIR TO KEEP FROM CRYING. SHE LITERALLY CHOPPED OF A CHUNK OF MY HAIR JUST BECAUSE IT WAS TANGLED FROM THE CHEAP SHAMPOO SHE PUT ON MY HAIR! I LEFT THERE WITH A MULTI COLRED, UNEVEN,DAMAGED, CURTAIN ON MY HEAD! SHE'S TOO BUSY TRYING TO "READ YOUR MIND", THAT SHE COMPLETELY DISREGARDS WHAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR! SHE ONLY ASKS THE PEOPLE WHO SHE DIDN'T MESS UP ON TO LEAVE HER REVIEWS AND PRATICALLY TELLS THEM WHAT TO WRITE!

Sela is amazing!!! I have just had my hair transformed! When I walked in, my hair looked like a limp, lifeless, boring curtain. Sela was able to visualize what would work with my hair type and face, which was great for me, because I have difficulty describing what I would like to have done. Sela did a beautiful cut and a gorgeous color. It's a perfect summer look! She made me feel great and was very welcoming. Sela gave me the best salon experience I have ever had, and I will definitely be returning. If you are like me, and are not sure which stylist to go to, SELA IS THE ONE!

Sela is amazing! She knows what to do with your hair without you even telling her. I went in with dead ends and a horrible highlight job and she was able to fix all of that in under an hour! I recommend her if you need a refreshing change. She is very knowledgable.

I am in total shock! My hair was a disaster...I was afraid to go to a salon because it was so damaged. It was flat and had no life. I chose Sela because of a recommendation, then I read her reviews. What you read here is not embellished in any way. It's honest and forthcoming. I wanted a before and after picture, and the results were beyond amazing! This woman is full of passion for her trade, rightfully so....she is absolutely the best hair stylist I have ever been to. She makes you feel very comfortable, by the time you leave, you felt like you just finished visiting a good friend! In addition, leaving her salon...I felt beautiful and sassy!

If you are like me and don't know where to go...call Sela. You will be so glad you did. Her personal approach with her clients is so refreshing! I will return over and over. I have a hair stylist for life here!

I HIGHLY recommend Sela. She was able to give me a cut/color that I loved on my first visit. My hair was not in great condition and now it is looking great. I have recently moved from the area, but I still drive down 3 hours to have Sela keep my hair looking good. She is very personable and is flexible with her schedule. She is great!

I chose Sela for my hair care after reading the great reviews for her. My choice turned out to be a great one; in fact I told her she is a hair genius! When we met, she took a few moments to analyze my hair and cut. She shared with me her vision for my hair, and I was amazed because she described exactly what I was desiring! She transformed my hair, talking with me through the process and being very careful not to make it shorter than I wanted. The results were fabulous! Additionally, she was interesting and personable. I wished that I had a before and after picture to share; needless to say I will be returning to her in the future, and highly recommend her services!

I went to Sela about 3 weeks ago. I saw all the great reviews and I am so glad I did! She's not only a great stylist and colorist, but has a great personality! We hit it off from the start and she doesn't sugar coat anything. I felt so blah going in there and left feeling like a brand new woman! I love the Melange Salon as well and the one on one attention you get. I will def be going back to Sela in just a few weeks and I would totally recommend her if your blah about your hair like I was.
