I had the gel manicure because I don't have any patience to sit and dry and plus my nails always chip. Sometimes manicures are not worth it for me but I was going to wedding out of town and needed it to last. I was going to get the shellac but the nail tech talked me into gel saying it was a bit more long lasting and they have more colors. I was a bit worried it would ruin my nails but she lightly filed my nails, not too much. I do like the way it came out and I don't have any chips. I am glad I did gel because I didn't have to wait for it to dry and it looks natural, not really into fake long nails. Glad I found Polished!
Brazilian Wax.
Best. Wax. Ever.
I got a Brazilian bikini wax from Claudia 2 days ago. I have gotten probably 20-30 Brazilians in my life. I'm almost 24 and have been getting them every few months since I was around 18. Love Brazilians. And this was the best one ever.
Without getting into too much detail (:D) This wax was the most thorough wax I've ever had. I didn't have to do any touching up at all afterwards. And I can tell it's going to last a while too!!
Polished is inexpensive - the wax was $50 and that includes tax. And the salon is clean, cozy, and professional. Not one of those cheapy places where you feel like the beauticians are just trying to get as many people in and out as fast as they can.
I haven't gotten any other waxing done by her, but I will never go anywhere else for a bikini wax. So so glad to have found her :)
Wax, Wax, Wax.
After getting a referrel from a friend and reading reviews, I went in for a brazilian wax.
Claudia made me feel at ease immediately, she's very sweet. It is located right off the freeway, next door to Miyako's. As for the wax itself quick, no double dipping and (almost) pain free. All of this for $50??! I'm sold.
Simply the best!. I found Polished thru a Travelzoo 'groupon' for a facial, spa manicure and polished stone pedicure. I loved every single service. The spa is beautiful and clean. I added a brow wax to my facial and my brows look so good, not too thin. I am very happy and will return!
letty. i thought the place was extremely nice and clean. The people were very nice and very friendly. It sas my first time there and lupe was very gentle with her hands. I've been to other spas where they were rough and have made me bleed, but lupe was awesome....highly recommend her and the place. I think she deserves a raise that's how good she is. Well i guess i'll be back to see her in about two weeks.
Houston's best spa for waxing!. I love Polished! It is a very clean, neat, warm place with lovelly staff that made me feel very welcome. Claudia did an amazing job with the waxing, she was quick, painless and she was a lot of fun to talk to. I already booked my next appointment!
