I needed my new house re keyed. I was
able to schedule someone to come out in 48 hours. Kevin showed up when promised and looked and talked as a key professional. He explained all my choices more than once. I had no idea that there were so many. He did not try to up sell, but let me know what was the low-end, ok, high-end.
He installed the new locks quickly and kept the place looking clean as he cleaned up all debris completely. He made sure my locks and doors were working properly as they were not when I moved in. He also entertained all my 4 year old's questions and showed him exactly what he was doing.
I would highly recommend this locksmith. They are on time, honest, professional and friendly. I had additional keys made there and they fit perfectly (which is not always the case w/Lowe's or other places). I would highly recommend to anyone

Love the safe sale tent! I have driven by so many times and finally stopped in yesterday to get a gun safe for my dad for father's day. The guys (AND gals!!) were super helpful and I was able to set up delivery of the safe for the very next day (which is today). The safe movers just left my house and I am one happy customer!

Fake reviews! How stupid do you think we are?. Ive never used these guys and now never will. Came to look at reviews before letting them into my house because I got this if-fy feeling when I called them. The guy just sounded creepy. All these reviews sound the same! The only real ones seems like 2 terrible ones! I noticed all the reviews use the same wording "local Locksmith" Medeco safes" Knowledgeable staff" educated me" high tech safes" huge showroom" HAH ! if theyre already trying to con me by posting fake reviews that sound like advertisements, then Im sure not going to trust them in my home. And I suggest you dont either if youre smart enough to read these hilarious phony reviews!

We do actively encourage our customers to review good or bad. Fraud, no other reviews than this single(1) who registered user name 05/07/12. Persons who checks out reviews before selecting a service would have a review profile. (This is slander created by unethical competitor) To persons and company involved legal action will follow.

They really jump through hoops.... I stopped by Houston Safe and Lock after seeing they had a bunch of gun safes in their parking lot on sale. To my surprise, there were dozens more gun safes inside; there are literally hundreds of gun safes and fire safes in their massive Houston showroom. I was shown several different models and the security features of each safe were explained in perfect detail. They really took their time and made me feel comfortable in my gun safe purchase. I appreciate the assistance of the staff and recommend anyone that is looking for any type of safe to go to Houston Safe and Lock first!

This Houston locksmith saved my Thanksgiving. I was visiting my family in Midtown for Thanksgiving and realized just as I was about to drive back home to Galveson that I had locked my keys in my car. I called several Houston locksmiths that said they would not be able to help me until the next morning. I was stressed out and worried, which was making my family and our time together seem frustrating. Houston Safe and Lock was the only locksmith in Houston that was able to come to my rescue, and they came out to Midtown quickly without charging me a lot of money. The locksmith was very helpful, nice and professional in apperacne, which made my family feel very safe. I appreciate you, Houston Safe and Lock!!!

I will definately be returning to this locksmith..!.
I have been scammed one to many times. This buissness is lisenced and bonded and i trust them! They came out ON TIME and did a great job. Also have some great looking safe movers ; ) hayyyyyy...
Cleaned up when they were done and were very friendly. I dont need to write a paragraph on how great this place is, you just have to go in and see it for yourself. Thanks a ton! : ) : )

Locksmiths make me nervous,but not Houston safe and lock.. ms Helen below me has shocked me with her comment. So I thought I'd write a comment of my own. I'm a mother who works full time and my husband is currently fighting for this country that is filled with such sad individuals. This company not only looks out for the elderly but also anyone who fights for this country. Ever since home depot cut me some keys that DID NOT work I've found this little cozy locksmith which is located at the beltway and westheimer. There has been 3 burglaries in my neighborhood in the past MONTH! Which terrifies me so I called Houston safe and lock and they educated me on their high security locks and safes! They give me the time i need to feel comfortable spending the money i have. I definitely recommend this place to any and everybody! Back to ms Helen she has bad reviews on every locksmith in town which is why its hard to trust some people...

houston safe and lock.
I bought a new safe from this company because it was rated 5 star and after the sale found how deceiving they are. Told would have to wait over an hour for staff to get back and change my safe to a combination lock so I opted to pay extra for the digital which they made out was what all their safes like I wanted came with. Turns out the combination lock is the standard lock and they actually changed the lock to digital on safe they had in warehouse. So that cost me $150 more that I should not have had to pay for what I did not want in the first place.
Price wise I thought I got a 25% discount,which I did from their sticker price, but actually their sticker price was almost 30% over mslp. Some discount I got. Found msrp online and found online could have gotten this safe for $300 less and shipped to my door. Hs&l wanted over $450 to deliver and bolt it down which I did not take.
I will never buy anything else from this company.

Our safes are ordered from the factory with customer preferred digital locks, which is a $200 upgrade from the price of the factory standard dial locks. Our retail pricing includes freight costs from the factory to our established storefront, which for a safe of this size and weight is $188 via FedEx. We are aware of several online retailers who boast lower prices by selling used, scratch & dents and water damaged safes but they consider 'delivery' as dropping off a heavy safe on a pallet in your driveway so that every felon in your neighborhood sees that you have a safe AND the valuables to put in it. Our delivery includes lifetime warranty, service, safe education and set up and bolting down the safe by one of our state licensed, criminally background checked professional safe experts. At this time, Gary Kindy has declined our offer of a full refund after further review of the fact and consequences of using online safe sale service.

Houston Safe and Lock.
I have never been scammed as bad as I was by this company. I asked to have my locks rekeyed, and after 4 hours, and canceling every appointment I had, they had not done what I had asked for, and handed me a bill for $900.
I called the owner, who promised "under no circumstances would they cash my check until the issue was resolved". I was promised a return phone call the following morning. Not only did I not get that return phone call, the check had also been cashed the following morning.
After three phone calls to the owner, I got a returned phone call. He implied I was a liar, he would never have said they would not cash the check, and were only willing to refund me $150.
The original thing he told me was to get the old locks out of the trash, they would gladly come put these back on and refund me. I went through my trash and recycling and the technician did not throw them away at my house.
I was totally scammed, I feel like a total idiot for trusting those people!!!!

Our apologies to Ms. Lizzy C. We had an appointment to replace multiple locks on 9/22. After 4 hours of service was complete and new locks installed, she signed the invoice from the tech & paid him. Upon speaking to her in regards of "ripping her off", it was realized that she had experienced sticker shock after finding similar locks online on sale. She admitted that she should have asked for an estimate prior to service. We offered to reinstall her old locks & apply a full refund but the locks had vanished from her refuse bin. We then offered her 30% off the price of the locks, which matched the sale price of the locks for sale online & was a 100% loss for us. A refund check in the amount of $150 was sent immediately. Since she signed & paid the invoice right after service completion, we thought she was satisfied with our service. She chose to mar our reputation with slanderous remarks after we reached an agreement because she did not feel placated by our refund made in good will.
