Houston >Amazing Lash Studio
If I could give a zero star rating I would. The fact is, I have been a loyal customer of Amazing Lash Studio 2 1/2 years. I have referred over 20 people and have never cancelled an appointment on short notice. First, I have never once received a referral reward. The website says they offer referral rewards but there is a loophole not mentioned that if the person you referred uses a groupon then the referral doesn't count. They have groupons every week so who wouldn't use a groupon and save a little money? One of the many ways this business cheats their customers. Second, I was charged a cancellation fee for an appointment that I never had and after talking to the manager and owner I was unsuccessful in getting a refund. Only when I reported a complaint to the better business bureau was my money refunded. They essentially stole money out of my account unauthorized and their reason for not refunding was "we can only go by what our records show" (even if the record is incorrect.) Lastly, I chose to take my business elsewhere and asked for my money back for two prepaid visits I had purchased ($45 each). I was only refunded $60. I never read or signed anything that said if I did not use all of my prepaid visits then the discount of the package would be taken out of my total credit. This place rips off their customers and do not care that a loyal customer who has spent thousands of dollars in their establishment is unhappy. I strongly advise you read the negative reviews and think twice before wasting your money. The sad part is, the eyelash technicians do good work but the front desk and management is so poor it overshadows anything positive about the experience. Good luck and Beware if you decide to give this place your business.
The best in Houston! Julie is fabulous! I've been getting my lashes done here for over 8 months and this place is the best! Julie is talented, does great work and is very pleasant!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give this place a rating below negative I would!!! I had an appointment at this place also. The stylist cancelled my appointment and I was not notified. This place requires you to prepay for your appointment so if you cancel without 24hrs advance notice you forfeit your payment. However, the same does not apply to the company. I have not received a refund of my payment and I have not received services either. I have emailed the owner several times without a response, I have also called with no response from the owner. I also foudn the receptionist's to be rude as well. There are sooo may better places in Houston you can go. I will never go here again!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Terrible customer service. My appointment was canceled and then rescheduled for the following week. My second appointment was also canceled. They made no effort to accommodate me. I emailed the manager and never received a response. Much better studios and customer service at other places in Houston.
Almost perfect experience...
I went to get my lashes done on yesterday. The new location was very nice. My overall experience was almost perfect. The receptionist was very friendly and attentive. I accidentally drove to the wrong location and she was very understanding and even called me to make sure that I had found the right place. I was a little late for my appointment but they graciously allowed me to keep it. The facilities were very nice and peaceful and I love love Ashley, the lady who completed the procedure. She was funny and we talked during the entire process. She talked to me about aftercare and how to maintain them best. There are four different styles to select from; I wish that that would have been added to the website so that I would have come prepared with a style in mind. They have a "Natural" style, which is a bit subtle, but I opted for the "Cute" look, which was a little glam. I am very very pleased with the overall look and of course I have already received so many compliments.
Unfortunately, in addition to the compliments, I have an equal amount of concerned inquires about "what happened?" (why my eyes were so red.) When I left the appointment, my eyes were burning a bit, but I thought that it would go away. As of right now, approximately 32 hours later, there is still some slight redness in my eyes. I got busy today so I didn’t get a chance to call them but I will definitely be giving them a call tomorrow if the redness does not go away. This will be the deciding factor of whether I will keep the refill appointment. As of right now, I am still pretty satisfied. One very important thing I might add. At the end of my appointment, my stylist told me about the Lash Coating that they sell to help maintain the health of the lash. They sold it to me for $40. I was a bit apprehensive because I like to do my research before purchasing beauty products. Well when I got home, I found the same exact product online for $14.99. I feel like I got ripped off because that’s over 200% markup. That’s the best slice of advice that I could offer to anyone reading this review, do NOT purchase the protective Lash Coating from them.
Receptionists are very unhelpful. I started getting my lashes done before they moved to the new and much nicer location on Westheimer. I loved the lashes and stylists so much that I have overlooked the unhelpful/unfriendly receptionists and have been a loyal customer ever since. . . until today. I missed my appointment last week because of a last minute work assignment, and when I asked to reschedule- they didn't have a single appointment for 3 weeks. I asked if this meant that by the time I got there, I would need a full set, and they told me this was very likely and I would then have to pay the full set price. I don't mind paying more if I can actually get an appointment when I need to maintain the look, but that is not what is happening. It appears they give priority to booking new customers so they can charge more, leaving their return customers to scramble for appointments-or wait until an appointment is available and then pay for a whole new set.
meh. I visited Amazing Lash Studio earlier this year. This was my second time to get a full set of lashes- first time at Amazing Lash. I, like the reviewer below, arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment, and ended up waiting over an hour to finally get in. The waiting area is a tiny cramped little space. I felt awkward sitting there while the receptionist worked- like I was up in her face. When I FINALLY got in, Hang was the technician. She was nice enough. I never got an apology for how long past my appointment time I waited (mind you, I was on my LUNCH BREAK from work!!). She asked what kind of lashes I wanted, and I described what I had had before- lashes so long and lush they touched my glasses! She said "those are too long for you." And gave me some so-so extensions. They didn't look nearly as natural and beautiful as the ones I had gotten done at the other place, and not nearly as many people seemed to notice. Overall, they were okay, but I wouldn't go back to this place. If you'd like a referral for a place I like better, feel free to message me!
Rude and Unprofessional.
My sister and I and her freind both booked appointments at the new lash studio, we showed up 15 minutes early for our appointment, we ended up having to wait over an hour, apparently they had done a deal on groupon and were over booked, we didnt get the coupon but when we finally got serviced we were treated like a couponer it seems, they rushed us up and for the price we paid it was ridiculous!!!!
On top of that, My technician (i think it was the owner i forgot her name) as she made conversation she complained about the types of customers that were coming in as a result of the coupon and not getting tipped on her services sort of as an apology why she was running so late with all the drama she dealt with. This was so unprofessional i couldn't wait to get out of that chair! She seemed stressed and only made me feel stressed and nervous about her quality of job. In the end I would never recommend going here my sister and her freind would not come back either.
I was very excited to go and get my lashes done before my friends wedding that weekend. I bought a LivingSocial for $79 and thought it was a great deal. I called and made my appt weeks in advance, and showed up early to hand in my voucher and fill out neccessary paperwork.
At the end when I went to checkout, I was told that my voucher was not valid and I owed $250. This was never mentioned when I made the appt, or when I turned it in BEFORE the service ever started.
The 20 yr old in charge informed me that he would give me a "deal" and just charge me an extra $125!!!! I disagreed with this, and he proceeded to yell and get aggressive.
I ended up having to pay just in order to get out of there.
This is an awful way to do business, and the worst way to treat a customer.
HANG is the BEST lash stylist!.
I was referred to this studio by one of my clients. She referred me to Hang. I love her! It was my first time ever getting lashes and she did an amazing job. They were the perfect length, color, and thickness. I have not worn any mascara ever since because the lashes look so good. I get compliments all every day! They last me 4 weeks and then I go back to Hang for a refill. I will always get this done now because its so easy and you always look nice. Ask for Hang! She's the best!!!
They also have a referral program which is nice. Every client that you refer, you get a discount when you come back for refills. I think that is so nice.
