Yet another true disappointment. Parking ugh. always on the look out for good cupcakes, yet another commerically made cupcake with canned frosting. tried red velvet (could not taste chocolate at all) you realize this is a light chocolate cake with sour cream cooked into the batter.???

All of these so-called cupcake boutiques are still serving med size cupcakes with large cupcake prices.

I am going back to Bella Cibo, home of the really good cupcakes.

Favorite!. If only I can eat this whenever I want, I would! BUT I can't afford to eat it everyday because each cupcake is about over 500 calories which is alot! but if you want to treat yourself, I say go for it! My favorite is the strawberry, vanilla, and the red velvet cupcake :)

Salted Caramel Cupcake. Mastering parking in Highland Park deserves a well-earned cupcake break.

Sprinkles is quaint and has a small eating area. You won't see the kitchen or any bakers baking or frosting.

My mouth was watering when I saw they had Salted Caramel cupcakes. Much to my tongue's dismay, the batter was light and didn't have much flavor. The frosting did not taste as fresh and didn't satisfy my caramel fix. The decal tasted like a grocery-store cake design and snapped like it was old. The salt was delicate and flaky which was a good contrast to the frosting. I was hoping that the cupcakes had caramel filling, and they needed it.

I like their packaging and the customer service was excellent. The counter person told me that the Red Velvet cupcakes were the most popular, so I will probably give them one more try next time I'm in Highland Village.

Very good cupcakes. Good cupcakes, but not the best in Houston. My favorites at Sprinkles are the Key Lime and Red Velvet. The cream cheese icing on the Red velvet is out of this world.

Deliciously modern cupcakes. I am always on the quest for the perfect cupcake. My absolute favorite cupcake is vanilla/vanilla from Magnolia Bakery in New York. Too sweet for some, the perfect dessert for me. But, wow, Sprinkles is a close second. Their chocolate cake was moist, yet still kind of fell apart in a rich, deliciously cocoa way. The smooth chocolate frosting was sweet, and complimented the cocoa in the cake. The vanilla cupcake was also moist, and the frosting was not-quite-as-sweet as I would have liked. But the chocolate cupcake is enough to make me a repeat customer.

The cupcakes are also like a modern work of art – simple frosting, and simple circle-dots or letters on the tops. Order a dozen and they put them in a 2x6 box that would make any graphic designer swoon. The “Mom loves cupcakes” sticker was a nice touch for my Mother-in-law’s birthday.

The location is hopping, and it’s kinda hard to get their attention – ordering in advance helps, but maybe in a few months the novelty will die down and it will be easier to stop in while out shopping.

Citysearch Editorial Review. The LA boutique bakery responsible for starting the national cupcake craze finally touched down in Houston's Highland Village. The sleek space is only big enough for the cupcake display and a small row of bar stools overlooking the parking lot but customers are usually busy paying attention to their meticulously iced treats. Although basics like chocolate and red velvet remain constantly available, check online for their rotating calendar of seasonal or specialty flavors like chai latte and key lime.

I Want My Cupcake!!!!. I swear it seems like the Sprinkles Cupcake craze is akin to MTV (back in the day). People were so enamored with the new station that they were actually saying they wanted their MTV. Houston has said the same about Sprinkles, we want our Sprinkles and now we have it.

Houston loves their sweets just as much as we love or Tex-Mex and BBQ. It's no wonder the city has bakeries of all kinds at all corners and now there's Sprinkles.

Located in Highland Village, near the Galleria area, the shop can't be missed. The store is small but their cupcakes are big on flavor (at least to me). There's a variety of flavors to choose from, some that are on the menu daily while others are rotated during the week. I stuck with the chocolate cupcakes dark chocolate & black and white.

The dark chocolate cupcake isn't bitter as you would expect a dark chocolate to be. The cupcake wasn't too sweet either, it was just right in my book. Covered in a creamy chocolate frosting sprinkled with chocolate shavings (if not shavings, something chocolately) it was mmm mmm good (don't sue me Campbell's). The black and white cupcake was either dark or milk chocolate with a vanilla frosting and chocolate shavings sprinkled on top.

Both cupcakes were very moist and surprisingly good. Everyone's going to have their opinion of if Sprinkles is as good as other cupcake places in Houston. It may or not be for everyone, but do expect for there to be a line at Sprinkles. The price is about the same as Crave and Sugarbaby's, $3.25. As with other shops that specialize in bake goods or cupcakes, purchasing a dozen are more is almost over $40. Love the sweet and sticky stuff (frosting), order a shot for less than the price of a cupcake. Fiddo can get in on the action too with special cupcakes for them.

My only complaint is the size of the shop. I didn't expect a huge store, but I didn't expect a small box either. Knowing how popular this place is already without it being open yet, I can only imagine it's going to be packed as sardines in a can for awhile.

BEST cupcakes EVER!!!!. I am so excited that Sprinkles Cupcakes is finally opening in Houston! These are the most decadent cupcakes that I have ever tasted in my life - hands down! The red velvet is to die for, but my favorite still has to be the black and white - a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and chocolate sprinkles...yum!!

These cupcakes are everything you could ever want from a dessert! The rich icing perfectly balances out with the dense and moist cupcakes. Although one is plenty, you simply cannot stop at just one cupcake. I want to try all of the different flavors - chai, strawberry, peanut butter, and key lime are next on my list!

Sprinkles JUST opened in the new building at Highland Village, in the same building as Paper Source and the new Apple store. I definitely recommend trying these cupcakes immediately! ENJOY :)
