Rockwell Tavern & Grill. I have been going to this place for over 2 years. Now under new ownership they are going through some growing pains with their customers (no one likes change). Yes, they've changed the decor, more family friendly. Yes, they've cleaned up the joint (thank you for scraping up the dried grease off the floor!). Most importantly - YES they still have their great burgers and they are still fresh made. They offer them a little different now with an ala cart menu to make how you want but they are better I think, then they were before. To be honest I was having trouble with getting sick after eating there. I had slowed down my visits then the new owners came on board and though I'm sure there is some differences I can't say I notice them EXCEPT i'm not getting sick any more afterwards. There are some new items on the menu and the craft brews list has grown by leaps and bounds! My favorite place got better, makes me happy!

Delicious Burgers. My family loves Rockwell’s!! We have been there 4-5 times with my son meeting up with his friends even more. We usually go on the weekends, early afternoon so we will have the place to ourselves. The burgers are fabulous and huge! I end up bringing ½ of mine home for another meal – the fries are cooked to a crisp crunch and soft and hot inside. And when the fries are covered in chili and cheese? Messy but delicious! Even the sweet potato fries are good and not greasy. The beer selections are fun – I think they have 50 different beers available. We have always had a good meal at Rockwell’s Tavern and Grill and the wait staff makes great recommendations.

Best Burgers in Texas!. Went to Rockwell last night and had a blast. The food was amazing. The bare knuckles melted in my mouth the home-made patty was big and juicy and the buns were incredible!!!

I understand why Alison Cooke and Rob Walsh rave about this place!!

Don't bother. On a recomendation we went to Rockwell Tavern and Grill for some good music and cold beer. That is what we got! Now just remember to go on a Friday evening. EARLY! Have a beer and listen to the music. But don't order the food!! We are both were so disappointed. The burgers were marginal at best. The sampler platter was suppose to be a bit of the best. If that is the best I am done! The asparagus was stringy and the bacon wrap around it was uncooked let alone the sauce was burnt. Have the worst taste in my mouth. They are suppose to have hand cut fries but they weren't hand cut from anyone in the kitchen. The shrimp were small with uncooked bacon wrapped around them and in the horrible sauce. The poppers I can buy at Sam's. Nothing exciting.

A hidden gem in the 'burbs!!!. Thank goodness there is at least ONE hidden gem of a restaurant in the 'burbs! My husband and I are constantly on the search for good restaurants out here, and are often disappointed. However, Rockwell is fantastic!!! The burgers easily rival Pappas burgers or name-your-favorite burger spot. They are juicy, fresh, messy, and finger-lickin' good!!! We have tried quite a few of the different combinations and all have been stellar. The fries and onion rings are great, too! There's even live music many nights, which is fun, and the service is always friendly and upbeat. I think we have had the owner as our server a couple of times, and our meals have always been a pleasure. Our favorite burgers out here in the 'burbs, and maybe even our favorite in Houston!
