Tips for Bullritos

March 14, 2013

Ate there once at a newly opened store in my neighborhood. Cold slimy tortillas, food all dumped in a paper bag and nasty. You check off on a bag what you want and hand it to the cashier and then get the same bag back with your food in it. If I wanted to brown bag my food (on a dine-in) I would have went through a drive thru and ate in my vehicle . Taco Cabana a much better option, with great food, serving trays and everything is nice and fresh. Bye-bye Bull.

GREAT quality and an even better price!. Stopped in for lunch and was more than pleasantly surprised. The ingredients tasted so fresh, not over salted or over flavored. Spicy habanero salsa is amazing! Tried the chicken and it was awesome. Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic - will be returning for 99 cent margaritas during happy hour!

love it.. can't get enough.

my wife and i really enjoy the patio -- too bad the weather hasn't been cooperating lately, but we stopped in today to enjoy the sunsine. The spinach tortilla with cilantro-lime rice, charro beans and pulled pork is the way to go! We love the variety of items and keep trying different things -- the cilantro-ranch has been great on every different combination though.

after going today, i completely had forgotten about the margarita specials on friday and saturday...we'll be back for happy hour.

give bullritos a try -- they seem to be expanding all over houston.

Can't wait to go back!. I picked up dinner for me and the hubby - he got a steak bowl and I ordered the tacos: 2 chicken and 1 pulled pork on corn tortillas. We shared chips and cilantro ranch salsa, which is basically a spicy ranch.

Everything was AWESOME! But they're a part of the Gringo's family, so it's not surprising! The meat had great flavor and the portions were more than enough. I love that we could customize everything on the bag, and I could grab our drinks while the food was being made. Overall, we were very impressed can't wait to go back!

Bullcrapos. I went to bullritos thinking the food was good and that it was in a safe neighborhood but while i was there the restaurant was robbed and the robber threw up in my bullitos. o wait never mind that last part, that was just how the bullritos tasted. I have never tasted something so bad. This is abosolutely the worst food i have ever had. I have eaten here multiple teams hoping that it would get better but i am still left with the same a terrible stomach ache. This is just a rip off of ffreebirds. I would rather eat at low quality McDonalds then eat at this LAAAAAAAAAAMEEEEE terrrible restaurant. If you love big, dry, bland, nasty, terrible bullritos come here

By the way you have terrrible service

Bullcrapo's. I can sum it up in two words: don't bother.

If you like your burrito to be in three distinct layers then this is the place for you. The contents of mine were so poorly distributed that I essentially had three separate meals in one. Started with rice, then on to the beans and finally the pulled pork - not until the very end did I locate the pico that was supposed to be in there.

Here are some thoughts, in the order in which I encountered them, to summarize my meal: Surprise (burrito was large), bland, dry, boring, starchy, frustration, surprize (finally found some pico), and finally disappointment.

Even the iced tea is a let down! Powdered tea out of an automatic dispenser, boo.

Go to Freebirds instead. Price is the same, you get much better food options, the atmosphere is much better and the iced tea is brewed fresh.

Outstanding. Simply put this place is great! They obviously know texmex....not like the other burrito joints.

Pass the Bull head to Chipotle. Although the idea sounds simple and great; it's a kiddy play on Chipotle. Sure I can still chose what I would like on my burrito, but why can't I have some flavor. I've tried the chicken and looked for not only the flavor but the chicken as well. This place is definitely missing some taste buds. If you like more of a variety in your meal, head over to Chipotle and take a look at your meal being prepared.

Citysearch Editorial Review. This pun-happy local chain inspired by the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona is building one veritabull bomb of a burrito (one might even wish for smaller size options). The three meals offered at this love-child of Chipotle and WhichWich are the bullrito, bowl, or tacos. Grab a bag on your right when you come in and customize your order--worthy ingredients include the char-grilled corn and fresh guac--with a red marker. The tangy wine-based twenty-ounce frozen margaritas (lime, strawberry, mango, or coconut) are a tempting treat for lunching office employees around Greenway Commons. Accented by red décor, the space is efficiently maximized with counters and stools lining the windows and an outside patio.
