Quality not consistent, although weekends are ok.
The Hong Kong Food Market IV occupies center stage at Houston’s only indoor Asian mall. The flagship store in the Hong Kong Food Market chain, the quality has unfortunately gone down in recent years when management changed hands. During the weekend, the produce is good and fresh, but during the weekdays, you will often find wilted vegetables and not-so-fresh fruit and produce. I have often been the victim of buying bad produce from Hong Kong Market during the week (I buy it, bring it home, then have to throw it away). On the plus side, they have great fresh fish selection and if you go on the weekend, they often have fresh orchids, cartons of mangoes, and other bulk items for sale. They recently added a Hong Kong style bbq with bbq pork and roast duck, skip it, it’s not good.
