Disappointed.
I was really disappointed with the service and attitude at Dean's this last (and final) visit. The bar tender made an absolutely horrible martini and had a really shitty attitude. Unless you fit the hipster profile, good luck getting good service. The sewer water might have tasted better than the martini I was served, and chewing on a piece of rubber may have had more taste than the olives they put in my drink. As for the attitude of the bartender, what a complete apathetic jerk. Not sure what his problem was but he turned me away from Deans' until there is new bar staff or new management.
They choose to get rid of potential customers with awful drinks and crappy attitudes. Too bad. Shame on you management for letting your employees treat customers that way.

With the opening of a second location, Dean's has spruced up its vintage style for Montrose in a sleek, roomier space that serves as a drinking hole and venue for local musicians and visual artists. The exhibits that adorn the walls rotate monthly, usually with a party to mark the occasion. On other nights, DJs spin anything from classic '80s cuts to electronica, although there’s more talking than dancing going on. Split a bottle of wine with fellow trendsters on a '60s-era sofa or try Dean’s signature frozen Cosmo with your buds under the patio umbrellas.

This sleek outpost of the original Dean’s downtown lacks the vintage clothing but keeps the signature frozen cosmos.
