Sugarland TX Best Happy Hour

They have a great "happy hour" from 11a.m - 7p.m.

But Ive hit the reverse "happy hour" at 11 p.m. The drinks are cold, tons of women and the bartender at night is rocks! Im a smoker so it was nice to have a drink and be able to smoke at the bar. We watched the Texans and had free shots on the house. The owner was promoting Gera Vodka. The are at airport and 1464 so 10 min drive from anywhere in Sugarland, Katy or Richmond.

This bar rocks, hit "happy hour" on Tuesday, we got there at 4:30 and were late...The place is clean, the beer is ice cold and the food is great. It's become a regular for night out and after work.

It could have been a beautiful relationship

So we went to Churchill's for the first time because of a coupon purchase on Restaurant . com. The service was great (at first), until we presented our $10 coupon towards our food purchase, which we were told that they no longer accept and that they had a problem with restaurant . com. The waitress told us that was the second restaurant . com coupon to come through that night.

I would have been more understanding about the situation if they said, we're having a problem with restaurant . com, but since you didn't know that, we'll go ahead an honor the discount this time, but in the future we won't accept them. Instead, we were made to awful about expecting them to honor their contract.

The waitress turned from nice to nasty and said that it was only $10 and she didn't understand why were upset about it. We expressed that we were not upset over not receiving $10 off our meal, but over the principle of the matter. Why should we, a potential returning customer, have to pay for their misfortune/misunderstanding with the discount offered by restaurant . com, which Churchill's obviously signed up for to attract business?

We tried to be polite as possible but still express our dissatisfaction. We weren't being ugly or rude at all, just trying to convey to her why we weren’t satisfied with our visit.

We expressed to the waitress that we understood it wasn't her fault and we didn't have a problem with her, but we did with her boss, the owner, for not honoring the contract outlined in the coupon deal. I tried to apologize to her, to smooth things over and let her know that this incident was not a reflection of her or her services and we thought we had received great service from her and anticipated leaving her a tip that was reflective of that services before any discount is taken (that is also part of the terms of the coupon), but were dissatisfied with our overall visit and first impression of Churchill's. She took it personally and became angry.

The manager did speak to us, but nothing was resolved. We paid our full bill and didn't receive our discount - which is fine. It was $10 off of our food purchase, which wasn’t going to break the bank. Nonetheless, the establishment did not honor their end of the contract, which is what left us dissatisfied. But both the manager and waitress repeated that they could not believe we were upset over $10 and that we should just pay it. Well, we couldn't believe that the owner signed up for the deal with restaurant . com then wouldn't honor it. These coupons are designed to attract new business and repeat customers to an establishment. Basically the owner (along with the waitress and manager) denied himself /herself repeat business because we will not go there again. It's shame too, because it's in our neighborhood and is a great location to get a drink and have some food in a sports bar atmosphere. We probably would have gone there at least a couple times per month if we had a better encounter.

Oh, and btw, if you do order food, make sure it's something fried, as that's kind of hard to ruin. We had a fried sampler appetizer which seemed pretty standard and was good. We also shared fajitas, which I wasn't expecting El Tiempo quality, but these were by far the worst, chewiest, toughest, most bland fajitas I've ever had. Bleh!

I'm sure if you're just going just for a drink, it's probably an okay place, but don't expect too much. If you go with low expectations, then you probably won't be disappointed.

I have been there several times and the staff are always attentive and smiling,you dont wait long to get served.

The Owners are great people and we love the thai food!!!
