Worth Every Penny.
A friend gave me a gift card for this spa. My therapist there was personable, made you feel like you were the only one she was attending to. She used high tech equipment, very clean and modern facilities, restful, relaxing and I felt safe.
I decided to try the Microdermabrasion for my tired looking skin. I signed up for a series and have had two so far and they were fabulous. My friends kept asking me what I had done because I looked so much younger and vibrant. I have had these before at another spa but the results were not that great. She knows what she is doing. I also had two other treatments for cellulite that made me look a lot better for swim season. I am getting older and it seems to take a whole village to make you look better. Thanks to this spa, I feel and look a whole lot better. It is not that costly for these services, and it is worth it they accomplish what you want them to.
I will keep going back to get the look I want. My husband loves it.
This place is a pearl!!.
I found it randomly online in a search for Houston spas and am SO glad I did. My facialist was very knowledgeable and made me feel very relaxed. She was very thorough in the cleansing, exfoliating, and extraction part which I needed desperately. The treatment left my skin glowing and my spirit reenergized. She even recommended some great at home care for me to use in everyday life.
Afterward, I relaxed in the steam room and then showered in their huge ladies relaxation room. The staff was very friendly and approachable, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely book services again with Rena at The Rendezvous Spa.
They Cure My Agony.
Esmeralda is a goddess!
I called in at the last minute and the front desk girls were wonderful to squeeze me in. I was in agony and Esmeralda took it all away with an amazing touch and those hot stones.
She has done work on me off and on for the past few years, since she was recommended by a coworker. She has great technique and a firm understanding of the muscular system and how to work it. I have been other places ,but other therapists are not able to provide firmness and depth to their work when I request it, Esmeralda always delivers. She also has flexibility enough to tailor each session to what I want.
I never hesitate when I need a great massage for relaxing or when I have strained something.
Brand New Find for Me.
I just went to a great day spa a friend told me about – The Rendezvous Spa.
I had what I can only describe as the BEST pedicure ever! I had the Aroma Pedicure (foot soak, scrub, mask, wonderful foot/leg massage, etc.) and by far it was the most thorough pedicure. I must say, I have been too many spas and this spa offers top notch service and products in a great neighborhood location.
They told me that they had just gotten new pedicure chairs. They were wonderful!
SUPERFICIAL HYPE. Honestly you have to have lost your sense of smell if you like going there. The odor of incense-candel is so strong it is nauseating. Enya type of music repeats itself every 3 minutes. One of the sauna was not working when I was there. The front desk messed up my appointment so I was left sitting for 45 minutes waiting for my turn. The message therapist I got finally kept on repeating herself saying I need to drink water to fill up my muscles and need to see her once a week and go to a particular yoga class in town. Sounds like a scam just to bring in business.
What a Letdown!!.
I found that the Rendezvous Spa was a mixture of high-class and poorly-cared-for facilities, with more issues than not.
I visited this spa in January 2011 using a spa package / special deal purchased through the Travelzoo website. The first part was a 30 minute “relaxation” massage. The massage bed had a fitted sheet on it, but the only cover once on the bed was a regular white bath towel. This is the only massage I’ve ever received (and I’ve had at least 30) where a sheet wasn’t provided for cover. A towel is hardly wide enough to cover the bed, much less a person laying on the bed. The massage itself was just mediocre. The masseuse only used about two or three major movements and hardly rubbed on my neck muscles at all.
Next was a seaweed body wrap, which I’m extremely glad I didn’t pay full price for. I pictured sheets of seaweed being used, but instead a warm seaweed creamy pureed substance was quickly slathered on my body (took 2 mins?), and I was wrapped in the plastic sheeting on the bed. It took a few minutes before my body produced enough heat to not have goosebumps, so at least the next 15 mins weren’t completely miserable. An eye mask or something would really add a nice touch here, since I felt like she was just trying to get things done as quickly as possible otherwise. The rinse-off was mostly moving the showerheads back and forth and very little else.
I was also scheduled for a foot soak, which they had forgotten about and I had to remind them of as they were leading me out. As the lady realized it was on my schedule after all, I was made to wait… and wait… and wait. 5-10 minutes later, when a random employee walked by and asked what I was waiting for, I was taken into a sad-looking room for the footsoak. The room had an old shower stall with a broken tension rod/curtain up to hide the messy pile of towels in it. And the footsoak was literally a plastic storage container (the kind that usually comes with a lid) with a plastic bag and the electronic part of the machine in it. Not exactly luxurious! The wine came in a regular throw-away plastic cup, and the “cheese plate” had small pieces of what was probably Kraft Colby Jack cheese sliced with a few crackers.
Overall, this spa describes their services in far more luxury than they actually deliver, and even if they halved their prices, I wouldn’t be a customer. I’m not sure how they got so many good ratings previously, but obviously something has gone downhill at this facility.
The Vichy Shower is WONDERFUL!.
I purchased a special package that had a seaweed wrap, a fresher massage, and Ionic foot bath and a wine and cheese plate. I was so excited to get such a deal for so many different treatments.
I was a little apprehensive at first to do a seaweed wrap in a Vichy Shower, but I was going to be brave. I LOVED IT! The warm water that was massaged into me, the seaweed wrap warmed me through and through, the cold and hot water rinse at the end left my skin tingly and fresh. Once I got passed the being in a shower with another person it was the most amazing feeling I have felt.
I followed that with a refresher massage, which just made me relax and melt. I ended with a foot bath and a wine & cheese plate. The whole day was just perfect. I had been here for facials before, but now I have found a new love in the Vichy Shower.
Awesome wanna do it again :).
My husband is so awesome! I am seven months pregnant and feeling totally awkward and huge. My husband has been in and out of town on business trips, so as an “I’m sorry I have not been here the whole time” he got m a spa day. I loved it!
The girls at the front desk whisked me into the relaxation room and I got to just sit and calm down. I was impressed with how smooth the transition was from outside hustle and bustle to inside not a worry in the world. I started with a fabulous pregnancy massage. The special pregnancy bed was great, and I was completely relaxed. I then a European Facial. I have never had a facial before. Massages I knew, but facials are new to me. She was great. She told me about my skin, gave me some great tips for the future, and invited me back for a specific type of peel when I was no longer pregnant. I ended with a superb manicure and pedicure. She looked at my nails and informed me how I can nourish them and make them stronger and healthier then what I was currently doing to them.
I am so glad my husband surprised me. I hope I can do it again soon.
A Scam... Under new Management. This is no longer the same spa!! They are no longer Bergamos. It is now Rendezvous and they do not honor any gift cards that were purchased in the last month. Completely rude management! Find a different place, this used to be great, now it's just A SCAM!!!
