It's pretty much a guaranteed blast at this dueling piano bar. It's great for groups, and there's usually some sort of special.

Super fun, talented singers get the crowd going. We arrived at the Pavilions around 10:30pm on a Friday night, planning to go to an after party for Gipsy Kings, but the concert was still going on so we wandered around and found Pete’s. The doorman was very sweet and let us take a peek before paying the cover to go in, but things looked pretty fun so my girlfriend and I ended up hanging out for a while. Pete’s is like live music karaoke for people who love Billy Joel and Elton John. Basically, there are 2 pianos, and they will play piano and sing songs you request (with a tip). The higher the tip, the longer the song will be played and the quicker they will get to your request. The singers are lively and animated, there is pretty crowded bar with mixed crowd, youngish (20’s-40’s something crowd) hanging out, singing along, slugging beers. This is a fave place for birthdays, so beware if it’s yours and you end up here. You may be subjected to any manner of embarrassment, but that’s why it’s so fun.

Tips for Pete's Dueling Piano Bar

September 09, 2012

The owner Corey cares about no one. He laid 20 of us off in Key West with out any notice even though he knew he only had a year lease. (Which we did not know about) He had his GM send us an email the day it closed telling us we were out of a job as of right now. People are having a hard time feeding their kids, paying rent, some had to drop out of school. It is extremely hard to get a job down here from June-January and he knew that. When we opened he preached about taking care of his employees like family. I'd hate to be related to him. I have tried to contact him numerous times and he will not respond. No apology, no letters of recommendation, just closed the doors and he never looked back. Well, we're still down here regretting ever working there. Thanks Corey, your really helping the economic recovery by adding to the 13 million people that are out of work, but hey, at least you made money and thats all that matters. One of the reasons he closed the bar in Key West, which was busy every night, was due to not being able to charge a cover at the door, because no one would pay it down there. He uses the undocumented money to pay his piano players and not record it to the IRS.

I think its funny that we are required to give two weeks notice of quitting but he can close the doors and leave us all unemployed. PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES

Great place for simple LIVE music!. FUN, energetic, atmosphere. The players on stage do a good thing LIVE to entertain. The door man is also very nice and did not have any attitude. Very welcoming place. Great location. Make sure you tip when you request a song. Request good songs that everyone knows so the whole place will sing. Cheers!

Great Night Out!. Pete's has become our place. We have small children and don't go out often but when we do, the choice always comes back to Pete's. It's a loud, hands-on, good time. The piano guys are always entertaining, the music is always great, the drinks are good and strong, what could there be to complain about?

Call ahead and reserve a table if you want to sit up front. This place gets full so get there early. Have a list of songs you want to hear, don't be shy about requesting anything. 80's music, children's songs, hip-hop - they know it all!

If you are looking to enjoy some good music and get involved with a crowd atmosphere, head over to Pete's. They do not disappoint.
