Very BAD place. We went to dinner with people coming from Mexico and met with the surprise that we were advised that the toilets were not working, but by then we were already seated and had ordered dinner, and had brought us drinks and snacks, we request to speak to the manager and he told us in a very rude way that it was mandated by the city and he could not do anything about, we request to speak with the owner and he treated us in a very arrogant and rude way and told us that whether we agreed that we should be go out, is a sadness misbehaves the same owner with their customers, gave us a lot of embarrassment with our guests and we left.
Good Spanish food. was a little lost, not having eaten at this type of restaurant before. We ended up getting a few Tapas and then the Paella Mixta. Everything was really good, but next time, I think I'll focus more on a variety of Tapas. The grilled baby green asparagus was delicious!
Nice Ambiance and Location. Most of the tapas were good, paella (Tintos Valenciana) was a FAIL - too dry and flavorless. I have had paella in Spain and this was not up to par. Service was great! Wine list very nice. The ropa vieja was our fav tapa that night as well as the Carpaccio de Filete (very tasty!). Nice place to have a glass of wine after a movie next door.
Nice Happy Hour Spot. I really liked this place; tapas and wine are a nice way to wind down. After spending a week in Spain I think I judge all Sangria on an unfair standard, but I thought the paella was really good. The restaurant is small and quietly hidden behind the River Oaks Shopping center, making it an ideal spot for happy hour. You can sit and enjoy your drink and still be able to hear the person next to you. The service was really good, not once did my glass sit on empty nor did I feel like we were being rushed to leave…that goes a long way.
I had better.
The place was very nice they have nice live music- I would suggest you should eat before and just go for the wine and music.
We went on a friday night and the food seemed old-like out of the fridge and microwaved it was very salty, oily and pricey - I will never eat here again- but will go back for some wine and music
Go here now!. I love this place. The food and wine are really tasty and service is also very good. Great valentine's day spot for you and your sweetheart
High Price, Low Portions. A friend and I tried this out because of the great location and the menu looked good. The atmosphere was very nice with wine bottles gracing the walls. I had ordered the lamb skewers (entree) and my friend ordered one of the ham sandwiches. The flavors were actually wonderful, but the portion sizes -were not. For ten dollars, the skewers had 6 tiny chunks of lamb, and a very undersized portion of rice (think 1/3 cup). There were also a small smattering of veggies on the side. My friend and I had seen a review on another site saying to order extra ham/meat if you get the sandwich, so we did. Not only was it needed, it was still way too little meat for a sandwich. It was about 2-3 slices total AFTER the 'extra' order, I cant begin to imagine what it is usually supposed to be. At this point we were fairly disappointed. We finished our meal still a little hungry. Then the bill came. It was SIX DOLLARS for an extra slice of ham. ONE extra slice of ham. So for my $10 entree that was the size of a tapas, and the measly sandwich - I know I will not be going back. To sum it up, if you don't mind paying a lot for a little, this is a great place because the flavors are awesome. Also, Happy Hour (4-7) might be a different story since some dishes are 1/2-off, but I went for lunch so I cant say for certain.
Nice Place. Found it to be a very relaxing place to go after a movie. Tapas were great...the gazpacho trio is heavenly!
Great place for wine and tapas inside the loop!.
We went with a group of friends not knowing what to expect since all Spanish restaurants in Houston are really mediocre and with bad quality food. We were very surprised to find that the food ( tapas mostly) was great and the selection of wines was also incredible with great pricing. The empanadas were delicious as well as the snails . We had a white sangria ( different) that was like a mojito with mint and ginger, very refreshing for the summer. We will be back and tell our friends! Also the bar is beautiful and the atmosphere is almost like being in a Spanish tapa bar ( cleaner I must say) .
I am from Spain and this is as close as you can come to a tapas bar there and we were very happy with our experience
