DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
(I used EWC last summer frequently and had good results. This summer? forget about it!)
Evidently they have lost some of the "professional" waxers because the girls this year don't know what they're doing. One girl had to rewax the same areas two or more times trying to get all the hairs around the bikini area, but still left with long hairs sticking out everywhere. Because of her "double waxing" I was left with bumps and ingrown hairs. (I've never had that problem before)
I had a brazilian so the back should have been completely hair free - not even close!!
I called to give them a chance to correct the mistakes, but all the manager offered me was 30% off my next service. How about you fix this service and then I'll decide if I even want a 2nd service? I won't be giving them a second chance since they won't correct their mistake.

Perla is great!.
Perla is fast and precise when it comes to a bikini wax. She also does a great job with eyebrows. The prices are so much better compared to local spa's.

Disappointed.
I decided to be bold and courageous and try body waxing on a whim. I asked around the office and among friends that I knew had it done. Two people, a coworker and a friend, recommended EWC in West U. So I looked them up online, read the reviews and decided why not? I called the center and the receptionist was overworked (she had to put me on hold on multiple occasions for extended periods of time) but she was being as efficient as she could with the load of people coming in and she was very polite and professional. I scheduled the appointment for my lunch hour, hopped in the car, and came in.
It went downhill from there. I made it known that I had never had this done before meaning I am unfamiliar the rules, code, etc. associated with the process. I ran to the ladies room to empty my bladder and came back into the room. The lady who did my wax, I can't remember her name all I know is that she is a part-time beautician, stood in the room as I removed my clothes. This was highly uncomfortable. Although, I know she was going to see it all I didnt expect for her to stay in the room. When I go see my masseuse or ob/gyn they both exit the room to allow me that little bit of privacy. She was far from kind or gentle during the process. As she put it, she's not effected by people pain... it's a part of the process and it showed in her actions. She applied the wax and jerked/snatched so hard down there. I'm not sure if she realized it but there are A LOT of nerve ending down there. As she worked her way in she never attempted to hold the opposing skin taunt so the ripping was one handed and extremely painful and I have a high tolerance for pain. From my experience getting my eyebrows threaded the simpliest thing to do is to hold down the skin around the area in which you are working. They were gloves for Christ sake.... that shouldn't be much to ask. She went over the same area 3 to 4 times. I actually had to call it quits because the $20 was not worth the torture.
Although it was my first time, listening to the stories of how the process is supposed to go there were a lot of missing steps (something about apply powder to absorb the oils) and general lack of concern with doing a good job and the fact that those hair connected to the vaginal area are connected to a person.
Again, the receptionist was kind and sweet although she was extremely busy but the person responsible for doing the actual process could have cared less about the person on the table. The friends that referred me felt bad about recommending me when they found out it was a less than desirable experience. I was in no way upset with them for referring me, I just disliked that knowing it was my first time the lady did not do anything to alleviate the pain she inflicted... if anything she heightened it. I work in the health care field and I know it doesn't take much to show a little concern for your clients or to make an effort to make a painful process as painfree as possible.

Horrible experience.
This was hands down the worst waxing experience I've ever had. First of all, when I walked into the reception area, the woman was on the phone yelling at another customer for at least 5 minutes while I sat there, waiting to be checked in. Finally, my technician came in and waved me back to my room. She stayed in the room while I undressed, which I thought was strange, but didn't bother me that much. Then, to the waxing...they use the blue hard wax, a plus since it only grabs the hair and doesn't stick to your skin as severly as traditional wax. This, however, doesn't make much of a difference when the woman waxing you has to go over the same areas 8-10+ times. My skin was on fire and I was completely miserable for the 40 minutes it took her to finish. Yes, brazilians are unpleasant, but this was just torture. Checkout was fairly easy despite the several minute long sales pitch trying to get me to sign up for a number of "savings passes" which in reality don't save you anything (and in most cases cost you more) if you only come in for one service once a month, and after what I just went through...no thanks.
Now to my post wax...I applied Tend Skin when I got home because my skin was very irritated and didn't seem smooth at all. The next morning, I woke up with what looked like and felt like the worst razor burn known to man, and STUBBLE. The entire area felt like 2-days post-shave stubble. Awful. I don't understand how skin can be waxed 8-10 times and not be smooth. Does not compute. By mid-afternoon I noticed the irritation getting worse, so I paid a visit to my doctor who prescribed me an antibiotic cream and a prescription strength hyrdocortisone cream because she said it looked to be getting infected. Wonderful. After calling the location, and explaining my plight, the woman on the phone 1)accused me of shaving after getting waxed (what???) 2) not keeping the area clean and 3) being clueless about waxing. After assuring her I had been waxed several times, hadn't shaved, and am extremely hygienic, she said she would have a techinician call me because she "isn't a wax specialist and doesn't really know anything about it". Great. After 4 days and 3 more phone calls, I have yet to hear from a technician. I have spoken with someone in their corporate office about getting a refund, but am not holding my breath. Never again will I try to get waxing on the cheap. You obviously get what you pay for.

No Complaint.
I am very pleases with this location. My tech is Matty and she is great. I am in and out in 20 minutes for underarm and bakini. Their products are great. Just try it - heck the first visit was free.

Quick and Easy.
In just a few minutes a month I have a quick, professional wax with no worries. The techs know what they're doing and they don't waste my time by making me wait. Friendly, but no chatter. Very clean, very private and the beeswax makes it virtually pain free. Highly recommended.

Bad experience.
I never write reviews, but my experience here was bad enough to prompt me to set up an account to write this. My eyebrows are still swollen and red a day later (not to mention they look pretty badf) and, well, the bikini wax was just a really bad experience. I've had plenty of brazilian waxes, so I'm aware that it's not exactly a pleasant experience to begin with, but believe me, this was extra bad. They were nice enough, but I got the impression that they hire people off the street or something, and offer little training.
