What People Are Saying About Reign Lounge

Drawing in a crowd as diverse as the city itself, Reign quickly found its place along the Washington corridor. Seemingly paradoxical, gaudy lighting, bouncers, velvet ropes and even a hostess stand before the most unpretentious party along the vast stretch of nightclubs. Sure, there are private tables, a second level devoted entirely to VIPs and some high-priced drinks, but everyone else just doesn't care. They're rubbing elbows, dancing, holding a conversation, drinking socially or drinking heavily. At Reign, the focus isn't so much on the club itself, and that's the draw.
Editor's Tips
- Look Good:
- Reign's dress code is sensible; a pair of nice tennis shoes shouldn't keep you out of the party.
- Where to Sit:
- The second floor has an outdoor patio, decked out with comfy white sofas and umbrellas.

The building is attractive on the outside but walking up to the door, the velvet ropes were a turn off. Once inside, it was dark, good music, decent mix of people. We went upstairs to the patio and it was my favorite place in the club.
Unfortunately, my camera was stolen off the table in our VIP area. The manager said they would check the security tapes, then blew off my emails and calls the following week. As a result, I will never return. He was both unprofessional and short.
The good news is that he can always improve his professionalism.
faux trendy

Doesn't live up to its prime location on Washington Ave and cool lounge name.. Its not really a cool lounge to hang out or take a date. Acts more like a disco than a lounge with way too loud music and hyper bass getting in the way of any intimate conversation.
Interior decor makes an effort to overcome the fact that this building is basically an aluminum barn with lipstick.
Upstairs patio a plus in warmer weather.
- Pros: none
- Cons: cheap feel, music too loud
Did NOT live up to the Hype
by bigjj79
I saw the grand opening video that was shot which looked very trendy, great looking crowd from what i could tell and i heard some good things about this place but after finally getting out there i was NOT impressed. There were at least three fights i had to narrowly escape and it was tough to get a drink, which lets face it, is pretty much the best reason to be in a bar. My time would have been better spent elsewhere.
- Pros: Nada
- Cons: crappy service
It's ok

The place is really nice, better than most other clubs.
We first visited Reign about 2 weeks ago. The DJ seemed to play good dance music that night, but last night for some reason, the DJ played nothing but hip/hop rap music. That gets old very quickly. Why does everyplace have to play rap and hip/hop so much? What happened to the places that play good ol dance music?
Hey DJ, mix it up!!!!!
- Pros: Nice decor
- Cons: Too much rap music
Thought would be better

The staff is not very friendly, the music repeats over and over, not a fun crowd but enough for a drink
