2 problems in 1 week - my 2012 pilot 11k miles. I brought in my broken key to be replaced. The dealer told me $190. I called Honda cust. serv. Honda arranged for a key to be replaced FREE!
While back at the dealer to replace the key, my neighbors were attempting to purchase a 12 FIT. The car retail is 16k, they had a 3k trade in meaning the car should only be 13k. The salesperson was trying to sell the car for 19k!!! I stepped in and they immediately dropped the price to 17k. Everyone happy? NOPE!
The sales manager and salesman corned me in the service area. The saleman was pounding his fist into his hands while they talked! Suggesting NO THREATENING YES!!! I asked if they wanted to go outside to discuss this. They walked away.
Now comes the service manager MAD) asking who I am etc. I explain that it does not matter who I am, I advised my neighbor how to buy a car. He went on a rage asking why etc. I explained you apparently dont like to do warranty repairs or sell cars honestly.
They pulled my truck out and did not complete any work and banned me. LOL like I would go back to these shady crooks. STAY AWAY!!!
Cannot be trusted for used sales! – Before buying my used minivan at Honda Cars of Katy three months ago, I was told by my used car salesperson Jose that there were new tires on the van. After buying the car I found out that the tires were not new. I've gotten no help from the used car manager or the general manager. This dealership cannot be trusted for used sales.

Not a Trustworthy Dealer - 20 Bogus Reviews – I recently visited Honda Cars of Katy while shopping for a new Crosstour. I have to say I could NEVER Trust a dealer that does the following:
1) Every car i could see on the lot did not have a MSRP Sticker on the Window - they had all been removed. When I asked the salesman, he gave me some BS line about the sun melting the stickers. In several cases, the stickers were in the glove box.
2) I know why of the sticker had been removed. Every car that I looked at, where I did see the sticker, had an addendum of dealer added options ranging from $3000 (on a $18,000 MSRP) to over $6000 added to a $32,000 sticker. The Crosstour with $6000 of dealer add-ons included $4000 for some crappy non-factory navigation system. Come on, that's almost 20% worth of add-ons.
3) i was quite surprised this dealer had so many glowing five-star ratings. Upon closer examination, I noted that this dealer starts of with 2 bad reviews on 2009, then no reviews for over a year, then they get 20 five star reviews in just 4 months - all from citysearch - then 2 more really bad reviews. Several Great reviews about Javier - In just a few days. Take a closer look at those 20 five-star reviews - almost everyone of the "reviewers" has hundreds of reviews - but even more interesting is how many car dealers some of these guys wrote bogus comments for.
I have seen many bad dealerships over the last 30 years, but this one has to be one of the most dishonest. If they remove the Stickers, add thousands of worthless dealer options to every car on the lot, and then pay anonymous reviewers to write fake five star reviews, imagine how bad these guys could screw you on the less obvious stuff.
HORRIBLE – My husband went to look at a Civic Si there, ready to purchase with a trade in... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I'll try to condense his experience... they took 3 days to get him a REAL quote (not "Oh yeah... should be no problem to get it at $price). In the meantime, they never called him back, even when they told him a specific time to expect the call back. William was his salesman, and while he was very nice and easy going, obviously communication is not his (or anyone else's) strong point. The only time my husband spoke to them was when he called them himself. Before they even got him the actual monthly payment amount they let him take the car for a couple days (he works at a shop and wanted to check it out there). He came in to bring it back and talk numbers (as they'd been planning for 3 days), and they made him wait for about an hour before someone came to speak with him. They quoted him a 20% interest rate when BMW had quoted him an 8% interest rate. The monthly payment was $200+ higher than the rate they said they could get him. They obviously got him in the car thinking he would fall in love and impulsively buy it without caring about the actual monthly payment... WRONG. My husband had to DEMAND his keys back. It was a waste of 3 full days time, and not only did the staff not care about the customer, they didn't even call him back... isn't that considering something like an auto sales crime... seems like all other dealerships won't STOP calling you! This is by far our WORST EVER dealership sales experience-- Unless you have time and money that you're looking to waste, do not visit this dealership. This is the first online complaint I have ever had to write.
Bad Dealer – I E-mailed Honda Cars of Katy About purchasing a white 2011 Honda Fit sport automatic They E-mailed back that yes they would sell me a White 2011 Honda fit sport at the Agreed upon price of $18,523. Called and confirmed. Had several conversations with the sales lady. Made appointment the finalize the deal. Called and asked for the vin for insurance. Received the vin and gave it to insurance and was told it was to a 2010 Honda fit. Went to Katy Honda website looked car up by vin. Turns out that the car is indeed a 2010 Honda fit base model with manual transmission. I then called them and asked if the vin was wrong.
No, that they had quoted me this car. Refused to Honor their E-mail or the verbal contract. I have the emails and would love to send them to you. A Classic attempt to bait and switch. They were just stupid enough to do it in writing!
Customer Service At Its Best – The customer service I received was exceptional. I trust the dealership and the people that work there. My sales rep was very knowledgeable and helped me navigate the whole experience of buying my new Civic. Thank you John Eagle Honda of Katy. It was great buying a car there and I know I will enjoy the “free” oil changes

They worked with us to get the best deal, at the same time, they also considered our budget and tried to keep us within our price range. Javier works with you until you are ultimately satisfied with your decision. He gives you a list of cars that would not blow your budget and is patient when it comes to negotiation.
