They are known for having great seafood and steaks, with stone crabs being the big star. So brace yourself for what we are about to lay on you; they have some of the best fried shrimp in the city! If you are in the mood for shrimp these should be on your list. They are seasoned well and quite large, with a price-tag that will not break the bank.

It's all about the crab claws. When I am craving crab, I go to Trulucks. Their crab claw platter is second to none in town. Happy hour in the bar area great, too - everything on the bar menu is half off including cocktails like their lychee martini or mojito (about $5 for HH)
Best service!.
Oh what can I say about my experience eating here..
My boyfriend and I went to eat here for our "monthsary" celebration. Yes, I know there is no such thing, but we celebrate every month. :)
Our server was fantastic! I can tell that he was one of the higher positioned server in there because of the respect the staff were giving him and he had his own business card that he gives out to his guests.
But anyways, we weren't sure about what we wanted to eat so we let him bring out their specials and the food that he highly recommend for us including desert.
All the food that he brought out for us was delicious! it was an excellent portions for us so we didn't feel too stuffed but good enough to keep a big smile on our face! My bf was not a seafood lover, so like always, he ordered steak. But from what I remember, he told me that it was one great steak!
Stone crab claws to the max..
Solid upscale restaurant in Houston... Truluck's is known for its stone crab claws and we didn't hesitate when it came time to picking a place during Houston Restaurant Week. At $38 regularly, the stone crab claws are the centerpiece of Truluck's menu. They come 8 on a plate with two sides, and surprisingly very filling. By the time I hit my 6th or 7th claw, I was getting to be really full. I've considered coming here on their all u can eat claw night, but I honestly don't think I can eat my money's worth.
My appetizer was a Sonoma greens salad with pecans... very fresh and delightfully dressed. My dessert was a chocolate cake... very moist and delicious. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Truluck's... everything came out very fresh and delicious. Service was a little on the snooty side though... check out my photos!
Ask to Sit in Spencer's Section.
What a treat! Huge Alaskan King Crab legs and delicate Stone Crab claws served on ice with fresh, toasted bread and herbed butter.
Spencer is a popular waiter there with all the oil executives. You have to see the dessert tray and then order Spencer's dessert which is off the menu. My eyes popped out of my head when I tasted it. I was in heaven.
The corporate steakhouse of the sea..
Get any high end steakhouse and give it a seafood menu. That is the simplest way to describe Trullucks. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, having to pay the testosterone premium every time you go out gets annoying after a while. Like with any steakhouse, all their food is impeccable, from their all you can crab legs on select weeknights to their surf and turf plate (which is usually what I get). A comprehensive, overpriced wine list and a beautiful location at the galleria finish off the vibe perfectly. I just honestly get put off by seeing the same work crowd with the corporate spending accounts trying to impress the same clients over and over again. And that brings us to the main problem with Trullucks, there is not an ounce of originality in the place, nothing to charm you and keep you coming in. It just feels like more of the same.
If the company is paying and you need to be seen by clients, by all means head on over to Trullucks; but if you really want to have your seafood world rocked, then go to Reef or Yelapas, which are comparatively priced.
the best in town!. perfect place for both meat and seafood fanatic! Amazing dishes accompanied with an excellent wine list! The atmosphere is relaxing but classy and unpretentious! Last but not least, knowlegable and friendly managers and servers!
