Delta Locksmith’s response to the review submit on 3/16/10.
After careful examination of company records we have concluded that we have never serviced anyone named "Mark" on March the 16th. We are aware that as large company we will inevitably face negative reviews, yet it seems this review was written with malicious intent possibly by a competitor.

Service & Staff are Awful.. This locksmith service damaged my expensive front door. The customer service was awful, would not give owners name. The staff would not give me a Locksmith License number as required by law so I could file a complaint. The price was way higher than quoted price. I finally called Expert Locksmith to fix my problem
PUSHY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
They did change the lock, but they refused to provide an invoice, and they demanded we pay by credit card. I told them I would pay them within 24 hours after receiving an invoice by email or fax. They said they would only send the invoice in person. I told them I did not want them at my place of busines causing a scene about a small bill that was less than 24 hours old. They came anyway while I was away, did not bring an invoice, and began making demands for credit card payments. They then began harassing me and my employees; we had to hang up on them on numerous occassions. Unannounced, they then went to our client's place of business and began harrassing them, as well. When my client offered to pay by check, they again called us, and demanded that we pay by credit card instead. They NEVER provided an invoice! I just don't get why that is such a big deal.
I represent a lot of landlords, so we use locksmiths very frequently. Life is tough enough as it is; with all the choices in locksmiths, don't put yourself through this.
A careful examination of our records shows quite a different picture:
On March 1st, you called requesting that we go ahead and execute the job. We had a prior agreement that we would collect payment upon completion of the job which is also standard business protocol. As soon as our tech completed the job, he couldn?t reach you in order to collect payment. We attempted to call you several times and left messages, to which you failed to reply. When we called the offices of Mammoth Real Estate Group, the president insisted on getting an invoice and sending us a check within 48 hours upon delivery. We offered to send one of our techs to hand deliver the invoice, as to eliminate a few extra steps. You responded by stating that if we wanted to get paid it would be your way or no way. In the end, you told us to send the invoice to a third party. They assured us that we would receive the check in 2-3 weeks.
Thank you ? Delta Locksmith

Gee with service like this I almost with I lost my car keys more often. You should call these guys.
Uses False Addresses and reveiws to gain placement.
I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers here and since I called these people based on their rating here at CitySearch, I thought I should add my two cents.
When I called the lady on the phone was nice and professional and I took that as a sign that this place would live up to its recommendations. However, she quoted me a price and told me it would be "a couple hours." I called three hours later, and she said she would have the locksmith call me with a time estimate. He called and said he would be an hour. More than two hours later (five hours after I called and was told it would be "a couple hours," which to me means two, maybe three hours), he showed up. He was rude to me, claiming he had been sitting outside for five minutes and had called "at least ten times" and why hadn't I answered?? I don't know what happened, maybe he dialed the wrong number those ten times, but I was just sitting in my living room waiting for them, not talking on the phone, and my cell gets good reception there. Plus, I wasn't very sympathetic to his five-minute wait after my five-hour wait, especially since I'm the customer.
Things didn't get any better when they started working. Their machine wasn't working well, they kept setting off my alarm, and the locksmith yelled and cursed -- not at me, just in frustration over not being able to get my key to work, but it didn't seem very professional.
Finally when they left they charged me more than I was quoted on the phone. By this time it was eight hours since my call to them.
I was mildly disappointed in their work and very disappointed in their customer service and attitude, especially after what I read here... maybe I got the grumpy locksmith at the company, but I definitely won't be using them again!
A response to "Winer" written by the Delta Locksmith Customer Service Department. After a careful examination of company records we have concluded that we have never serviced anyone named "Winer". We are aware that as large, nation-wide company we will inevitably face negative reviews, yet it seems this review was written with malicious intent. The individual have copied an old negative review appearing on our listing, this in turn leads us to question the legitimacy of the original review. Furthermore, after clicking on the user name "Winer", it is easy to see that this individual has places a positive review for his own company but placed two negative reviews to other Locksmith companies, all in the same day. Delta Locksmith respects its customers and always strives towards perfect service and professionalism. We respectfully ask all readers and potential business associates to disregard one person's efforts to tarnish our company name.
What a champ!. I was stuck in a pickle, I had lost keys and was down town Houston and needed a Houston locksmith to make me some replacement keys. It was late at night and I also had to ensure the Houston locksmith was a 24 hour locksmith. I called Delta Locksmith Houston and they answered the phone straight away. It turns out they operate as an emergency locksmith so they are open 24/7. I told them I had lost keys and urgently needed to get home. The lock smith technician drove to my exact location and made me replacement keys. What a champ!
Great work!!!!!!. I found myself locked out of my home and the locked door was totally inoperable. I decided to call Delta Locksmith Houston locksmith to help me with the locked door and find different solutions to open it. The locksmith technician was very polite and came within 30 minutes. He told me my options were to allow him to do some lock picking which can take between 10 seconds and 10 minutes. Another option was he could cut me replacement keys for my lost keys. Since I needed new keys anyway I decided to get new keys cut to unlock the locked door. The technician re keyed the lock and gave me new keys in a few minutes. Definitely recommended to use these guys.
