Bad Managment = Horrible Service – I have been going to the Brickhouse for several years, and I used to enjoy going there with Clients, Co-workers, Friends, the Wife, etc. I don't know what has happened in the past 8-10 months maybe a management change or something. Earlier in the year service got to be spotty. In the past 6 months -- service from the wait staff hit the floor -- slow, un-attentive, items get charged on the ticket that were not ordered, if you bring it to their attention they give you dirty looks and disappear for 20 minutes -- flat out, it's Piss poor -- I used to like to go for a brew and watch the game -- now the Brickhouse is not even on the radar for places to go.
Where is the Cheese on my Philly Cheese Steak sandwich? – This place is nice with big screen TVs, Lazy Boy recliners, huge fireplace all inside complete with bar. Go outside, a bar with seating, huge roaring fire and tables and chairs with more Big screen TVs. You can order Beer bongs on tap even but that is only if the waitress can be hunted down since you won't be seeing much of her. And I mean that literally. The waitress took 10 minutes to take our order and when I got my drink order, I had to go find her. I was kind of wondering how the place keeps customers. I finally get it, the waitresses wear way less than the waitresses at Hooters, they look like baby prostitutes and that isn't exaggerating. Later, I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and there wasn't any cheese on my Philly Cheese Steak. Bad service bad food and attitude of the waitress was "I don't care" attitude. She was later seen sitting with customers doing nothing. I have lost my confidence in this place the second time around, that is why I am giving it One Star rating only. Waste of money when I can get way better service anywhere else. I did forget to mention the Philly Cheese Steak came with no cheese and bland stale hard fries all for $10.99. Unbelieveable. I hope they go out of business because they deserve it.
Watch your Credit Card Statement – ### BEWARE ###
The last two times that I have gone I have experienced extra credit card transactions.
The first time, the waitress added an additional $10 to her tip. Had I not checked my statement, the error/theft would not have been discovered.
The last time, after ringing up $125 bill, I checked my balance and there is an additional $103 charge.
After reading some of the reviews I realize I am not alone. It appears they have some bookkeeping issues.
Either take cash or dont go. #### BEWARE ###
Brick House Sucks – We visited BHT for the first and last time from NYS. The service & food were HORRIBLE!!! You don't go there for the food. If you are into baby prostitutes(the waitresses) then go the BHT; otherwise, save your $$$$ and cook at home.
This place blows – We have gone to this place probably 10 times in the past, and it continues to get worse.
First of all the beers and drinks are stupidly overpriced. Probably get away with it because of the number of d-bags that frequent the place. Full of guys over compensating with their huge trucks that they can't park in the parking lot because its so much cooler to hop the curb and park on the grass.
The girls are B teamers. One or two of them are cute, but for the most part they area bunch of stuck up uggo's that think they are hot. They are slow, and rude.
The bartenders are straight bitches. There is one in particular, don't know her name, fat, wears glasses, dog ugly. Don't cross her she will bite off your dick.
The managers are blow hard douches. They flirt with the b team talent and if you need something they are slow and think there are no problems in the joint.
They also close early. Last night they shut the joint down at 1.
Don't use your credit card here, it will have extra charges on it. Had it happen to me 3 times now.
If your a douche that likes to wear affliction, go on a UFC night, you will fit right in.
Rude is Top Down – I called Chris the Day manager of Brick House because there was an additional charge on my card (in my bank statement) that I had not authorized. I called in an attempt to resolve this without getting the police involved only to have Chris explain that it was impossible to enter fraudulent charges, it could not have been his staff and who did I think I was to 'suspect his girl's' and then he promptly hung up the telephone.
Whoops! I obviously erred in both my patronage and my attempt to resolve the issue reasonably.
BAD SERV., DUMB WAITRESSES, MGR DOESN'T KNOW CUSTOMER SERV. – 2 ppl. n my party were given the same tab to pay & the 1 that was paying the wrong tab didn't realize it until given change. after bringing it to their attn., it was a fiasco to get the $5 back. it's not alot of $$, but it's the principle. it almost seemed as tho the waitress was trying to pocket the $ the way it was done. very sneaky if done intentionally & if not....DUMB WAITRESS!! we were fighting flies like crazy. they should hand fly swatters out as u enter. very bad experience.....will NEVER return. i wouldn't have even given it 1 star if i didn't have 2 give it something.
Down hill all the way – Have gone to Brick House Tavern several times and it was one of our fav. resturants but after this evening we won't hurry back.
You would think at the early hour of 4 p.m. you would have the prime service and food that a place of this caliber wants to serve. But not so. We ordered the Chipswith White Queso & Blue Cheese a first course munchie. The cheese dip was a bland yellow glob and I don't think anyone in the kitchen had a clue as to what Blue Cheese looks like or taste like. These chips use to just have the best "bite" ever for us blue cheese lovers. The cheeses were bland and the chips were thick no taste at all.
When it came to our dinner orders I had the Beef Tenderloin Salad ( It had two small pieces of beef that were over cooked and couldn't have been more than 2 oz.) Four sugar walnuts and two slices of tomato. All of this was soaked in a horrible Balsmic Vinegarette.
Of course I sent it back to the kitchen since all I could taste was the dressing that was floating in the bowl of my $10. 99 salad. I was told that the managers were doing the cooking and that is what was wrong with the food. Which makes me wonder what they train the managers? Not one of the managers came to check with us after we complained but they did send the waitress that had been working for them all of 4 weeks to tell us we didn't have to pay for my salad.
I am certain where they are located they get the business that they need to stay in business but we won't be taking company there again.
Bad service – Went there last night waited 15 minutes to get a waitress out on the patio, waited about another 10 min to be waited on after we got a table inside, food was expensive and nothing to write home about, and if you are going to spend that much money for heaters on the patio use them.
Wow, what an experience today @ the Brick House in Humble. The waitress looked like she had swallowed a spare tire, with all our food in it. She took our order then had to retake it because she couldn't figure it out. Then an hour into it, our mediocre food came out and wasn't even appealin. Brick House, more like shit house.
