Good spot close to home!!. This is a cool venue plenty of things to do, play some arcade games, foosball, pool, darts... But what i like the most are the bar specials. They have your typical beers and liquors (only down side no seasonal or specialty beers on tap). Regardless food and drinks are good and well priced. They also have good entertainment on the weekends (mechanical bulls, DJ, Karaoke, and live bands). Always a good time when i go
another suburban yawn and "sports bar" LIE!.
i was there tonight 12-9-10 early on a thursday evening (5:30ish) quizzed the server on the beers on tap (usual schlock) asked for "seasonals" from a variety of brews: had NONE. though she did express knowledge of them. and regret that they had none...
but this place is just another one in a series of douche-bars who try to sell themselves as a sports bar. having a few TVs and a punching bag machine, does NOT make you a sports bar.
it happens everywhere. but it happens WAY more in the burbs. especially in the 1960 and sugarland areas : (
Atmosphere was ok BUT?. Been there twice, the people were cool, the staff was very slow. It took a member of our party almost 30 minutes to get his credit card from the waitress, who had too many tables to cover. The first time I went there, someone tried to steal my car, but my alarm ran them off. The officer came out to my house the next morning, which is when I noticed that the key hole was missing off of the driver side door. The officer said that the area where the bar is very bad when it comes to car theft. The second time I went, I had to check on my car like every 15 minutes.
I recently visisted the venue for a Stevie B performance and would not waste my time going back. The stage is so small and the area where people could view was very tight and elbow to elbow (very warm). They keeped broadcasting to go upstairs where there was lots of room, but if you did that, then you were not able to see the performance, because it is a flat floor with limited viewing from the haning rails.
The people where Ghetto and the staff was Ghetto. I wanted to leave the venue, but the bar tender wanted me to leave my card open because the computers were down and she could not give me my total amount, so she copied my card so that she could charge me later after the computers were up and running again.
Before I went to the venue, I read another viewers experience with the staff tiping themselves 30% and then finding out later, I declined and waited for the computers to print my copy and close out the tab myself leaving $5 as the tip. I also, heard from another patron that they put an extra $25 on the total bill from drinks that were not served to him, seems the bartender got confused of who was who.
Stevie B did not even show up to sing untill approx 11:35pm, then he only sang for 25 minutes, after they keeped announcing he was on the way, in the house and if the crowd was ready for 2 hours. To many wanna bee's and gangsta's for my taste.
Nice spot...BUT BEWARE THE PARKING LOT. Had a great time. Danced, everyone was cool, and the drinks were good. The problem was when my truck, and three of cars had their windows got broke out. The so called security tells me, he hard something..He was in the club, when he should had been outside. Like I said, nice spot but you may have to get a new window. Sad, cuz..it could be a grown..spot. Maybe one day the owner will get better security.
Beware!!!! Better keep an eye on your car.. They broke into my car and the manager or owner was no help at all. I asked if we could view the security tapes and he said the cameras were not working. Not will to help at all. Asked for the polices non emergency number to file a report. He just pointed at the phone book and said good luck. I was talking to the waitress and she said this was not the first time its happened. So I guess park some where you can keep an I on your car.
Best Bar on 1960. Love this place. There is a Sunday brunch buffet with bottomless mimosas.. Ohh and on Thursdays is Karaoke its fun and if you don't want to sing no problem the pitchers are only 6 bucks so you will want to in no time. Club Fridays are fun too.. and never ever miss a fight night.. Ill admit its packed on fight night but its still tons of fun. Don't be fooled if you show up and know ones there they will be soon. If anything ask Sunil (Owner) or the Manager when it picks up they are very nice people.... So try it out and tell a friend I promise that it wont be a wasted trip.
Looks great, but thats about it!. I usually hang out in mid town, but decided to got to this hidden place by my job. When with co-workers on Thursday. I thought the place just opened for business, because it was completely dead. Waitresses were horrible, they preferred to play the bar video game than tend to there only 4 customers. And if you play music on the jukebox, you better hope the staff likes it other wise they will skip or lower the volume on your music selection. At the end of the night I ended up get into an argument, on why the tip was so low, with the waitress.
Make sure you save your receipt!! They will rob you!. Enjoyed everything, until i got my credit card statement. They tipped themselves 30%. If you go make sure you save your receipt.
Awesome Place!!!. This is a great spot , everyone need to go there once in their life. The staff and owner is so great. I always enjoy myself while Im there im there every week. The food is so good and karoke on thursdays nights are great. There is no question that when you go there you will be back again. They have great food, drinks games and more. And what a great bar to have Poker Nights on Wed. There is so much I have to say about Swag but there is enough paper to do so. So just come and check it out
