NY Style Bakery Right In Houston!. A unique find in Houston!! As soon as you step into Drew's, you're scenses will take you to a bakery you would find in NYC! The atmosphere is Quaint and cozy, the cookies are outstanding and they make incredible cakes. I bought an assortment of their cookies with perils and the half mooon cookies to bring home and my family loved every bite! I told my friends from the northeast they must check Drew's out! Highly recommend!
Great desserts. German chocolate cake, pignoli cookies, and canoli were amazing. I'll definately be back soon for more.
Cakes are dry, pies are drab.
Ordered pies for Thanksgiving, HEB was better
Gave it another try after dinner, italian creme cake was dry.
Curtis,
I do not understand the drab part of my pies, since thanksgiving 2009 has not been here yet. i i would like to invite you back to try my pies, cakes and any other desserts we have. This is the very first negative comment i have received since we have been open.
I look forward to meeting you and chatting.
Have a great Holiday and hope to see you soon.

Just what Houston needs...a real pastry shop!. Being a native New Yorker living in Houston, the one thing I consistently found myself missing was an Italian pastry shop. I grew up with rainbow cookies, black & whites, sfogliatelle, cannolis, macaroons...all sorts of wonderful desserts that just don't seem to be offered down here in Houston (in spite of a large NY metro transplant crowd). Then I found Drew's Pastry Place and it brought back memories of my childhood. His pastries and cookies are absolutely amazing (he just started making my favorite, rainbow cookies, and is perfecting his black & whites as we speak) and when I came in for the first time today he personally came out to greet me. It is an amazing family business with superb offerings. Not only does he do the cookies and pastries, he also does cakes (including wedding), pies, there is gelato available, all sorts of coffee and tea, and now a lunch hour as well with pizza and other things. My only gripe is that I live in Katy and he is located up on 249 and Louetta...but it is still well worth the drive! I'll be there at least once a month to indulge in his treats and relive some memories of my childhood, as well as to support a much needed business that caters to an ignored niche here in Houston!
Was there life before Drew's?. The absolute best bakery this side of Houston Street! The best bagles, cookies, bread pudding, cannoli's, chicken salad to die for and it is all so fresh, no preservatives! There are not enough superlatives in the english language to describe the joy I feel every time i go in. Drew is an amazing chef and his mom is fabulous. I feel like I am in NY every time I am there. I have gained 10 lbs since they opened and I simply don't care :-)
VERY YUMMY!. Drew's Pastery Place makes all kinds of cookies, cakes, and pies! I believe they also have different kinds of coffee, teas and italian sodas.... It is very clean and new inside and the staff was very frendly.I have been there once and tried the apple pie and it was wonderful! Best crust I have ever had...delicious apple filing. My friend tried a strawberry mango italian soda with a huge rice crispy treat that had mint chocolate chips on top. We will definately return soon.
Excellent customer service and deliciously moist deserts!. I just want to say that i love Drew's! I've been a very faithful patron to starbucks for years until this place opened. They have wonderful Baristas who are very friendly. I have never known such a personal treatment at any establishment. After the second visit i was greeted by first name! They even remembered my order! Free wifi and authentic Italian delicacies led me to become a regular here. So far I've tried the red velvet, cannoli, butter cookies, candy bar pies, cheesecake, chocolate raspberry, and Drew's signature: Italiian cream cake. All the cakes were extremely moist and I have to say that the velvet or cannoli was my favorite. It is definately worth a try!
Kudos to the Cannolis!. Drew's Pastry Place is so warm and friendly! The service is above and beyond!! Drew (the owner) enjoys getting to know his customers. I just sat there and watched with a great big smile on my face! I can see why people want to go back! Oh, and the Cannolis and Pumpkin cookies are the BEST!!! Just excellent!
Wonderful cannoli and service. Sometimes in life, you just need a solid cannoli. The shell was perfect...exactly the right amount of crunch to compliment the deliciously smooth interior. Well done...I'll be back for more!
Great Italian Pastries. Its been a while since I've been able to find good Italian pastries in the Houston area. Well with Drew's you dont have to go any further. Pine nut cookies, cannoli, sfogliatella, and bagels straight from New York.. a bit of the east coast right here on Louetta Road. I will tell any one who misses the bakeries of the East to stop by Drews and enjoy....
