A unique experience! I love this place! Perfect to take out of town guests. The food is always amazing. I normally order the edamame dumplings - Love them! And for main dish, I'll get the Green Curry Chicken thats fabulous but for those who don't like spicy/hot this isn't for you. It's awesome though if you do. I also LOVE their Seabass. My husband loves the Clay Pot? can't remember the exact name but all their food is super quality. You get what you pay for here - quality and amazing food in a SUPER romantic environment that you won't find anywhere else in Houston. It's just really unique but enter through the outside not the Mall side. Somehow going through the mall kills the effect. Ok, maybe not kills it but minimizes it since you don't expect this caliber of restaurant entering from a mall.

Pretty Good. I think this place is pretty good. the ambiance is top notch, beautiful & relaxing. The food is not the very best I've had (and is definitely overpriced) but the menu is interesting enough to keep me coming back to try new things. The environment is the true winner though!

I like it!. I love the main dining area inside Gigi's. I love the decoration and everything feels pretty cozy and comfortable. It's probably not going to impress many people who likes authentic food because their food has that Americanized taste to it. I've eaten here so many times and I have not encountered any bad services.

My favorite is their Hongkong fried rice, their sesame chicken, and their shaking beef! If you want to have a quiet nice dinner but not too uptight, this is the place to go. I would definitely come back.

Good Service Is Hard to Find. Went to Gigi's Asian Bistro today for dim sum, ok food but very bad service. I have been here before about a half dozen times, and although the food has been ok, I have chosen to keep coming back. What I cannot tolerate in mediocre food, high prices and bad service. Because of the bad sever they have lost a customer.

Saw the Famous Gigi. My friend came in from Dallas and had a legal certifiation that he was attending at the Westin Oaks. He was upset that Hunan was no longer on Post Oak, so we went to Gigi's.

The hostess was nice, but she was dressed in rags which was a poor first impression. The bartender waited 10 minutes before he asked me for water and he was chatting away with a coworker. The waiter took up plates prior to us being finished and didn't replace our utensils or plates. The waiter was gangster thuggish and not very zen.

The food was so amazing. we didn't care about the service. The fragrant potstickers, the wine, the mussels in red curry broth, and the fried whole striped bass were perfectly spiced and prepared. Two appetizers, three glasses of house wine, and 1 entree ran us $86.

There was a lunch crowd on a Thursday. It was good to see Gigi arrive, and she said hello to us when she entered the room. She looks terrific.

Their lounge music is great too.

Very bad food. My husband and I went to Gigi's for an early dinner. I ordered the "crispy duck salad" while my husband ordered "poor man's noodles". Both dishes were extremely bad. The taste of the crispy duck in my salad was so heavy that I could not eat more than one piece. My husband's noodles were described as "stir-fried phat noodles, beef, cherry tomato, red onion, and roasted garlic soy gravy" in the menu. It turned out to be overcooked noodles which were over-saturated with GROUND beef! One hour after the meal he still has bad stomach. Lastly, the diet coke I ordered did not have any gas in it. Don't waste your money!

new to area. I recently read about this place in the Houston magazine so we decided to try it out... serious the dumplings and potstickers are to die for the veggie spring rolls are beyond wonderful the wait staff and everyone were on top and the decor made ya feel like you're sitting under a cherry blossom tree..

GiGi's- Tough To Be Beat. GiGi's is unreal! The girlfriend and I love going and it's always spectacular. Great food and atmosphere. Try the steak or dumplings, I need to try more but what I'm so in love with the usual, go check it out!!!!

Disappointing Dining Experience. I made reservations one week in advance to meet two friends for dinner who I haven't seen in a long time. Turns out, Gigi's was not the best place for us to meet and catch up. First, I had difficulty navigating through the Galleria to find Gigi's -- which wasn't the restaurant's fault, of course -- but when I called Gigi's on my cell to ask directions, I was put on hold before ever getting to ask and, after 10 full minutes, I hung up and found a Galleria security officer who gave me directions. When I finally arrived at the restaurant, Gigi's had no record of a reservation for me. Ultimately, my friends and I were seated in the back dining room, where it was so noisy and loud that we had to lean in to hear each other talk and ask the waiter to repeat nearly everything he said. There was a very large party of about 20 people in the dining room celebrating some occasion, complete with speeches. There were also two birthday tables at which the waiters banged a real gong and sang "Happy Birthday."

The food: it was just okay. The presentation was gorgeous -- colorful, tasty sauces. We ordered the Shaking Beef, which was a bit tough. We ordered the potsticker dumplings and also the crab/shrimp mix dumplings, which were average. I WILL give Gigi's one more try, because it was highly recommended by a friend who loves it. I'll assume that my unpleasant experience last evening was just a one-off.

Hidden Gem!. My fiancee and I have passed by this tucked away restaurant when we've been window shopping at the Galleria and I always say to him, "hey I keep forgetting that place is there, we should try it out some time!". Well, we finally made an effort to remember it and tried it out. We got there for an early dinner and walked through the narrow but quaint modern Asian-themed decorated bar area from the Galleria II entrance and we were surprised when we walked into a big dining room at the back. I felt like we had walk into a speakeasy with windowless brick walls on all four sides, and marvelous light pink cherry blossoms branches coming down from the ceiling made me feel like we were dining under a tree. I believed they played eclectic French music in the background. The waiter we had very attentively took our order and we decided to share an appetizer before our entrees. We actually had a hard time choosing from the menu because there were so many things on it that we liked. We ordered the chicken and ginger dumplings appetizer and for our entrees we had the Pad Thai and Beef Satay (another appetizer but I have a smallish appetite). All of the food was yummy. The five dumplings were very fresh and came with a selection of sauces (sweet plum, spicy red pepper, and hot jalapeno) as well as dumpling sauce. The Pad Thai was one of the best we've had and two people could easily share it. The Beef Satay was cooked medium well but still tender. The restaurant is a little pricier than what we like to pay for Asian food but we'll definitely go back and try other things on the menu!!
