Disappointed and Upset Customer. I made reservations for 01/08/12 at noon thru open table to have lunch in family to celebrate my husband's birthday. Received almost instantaneously an email with the confirmation for date, and requested time.

Surprisingly our family arrived 15 minutes before noon and the restaurant was closed - the restaurant would not even be opened till 1 PM -

Our family drove there to be left down - Very upsetting to say the least, and a great shame for me,

that wanted to surprise him in his birthday.

I used to be a regular but now after this disappointment I am pretty sure I would not recommend this restaurant again.

PS: I just got an email from Guri do Sul to inform my reservations have been cancelled at 3:00 PM. Great System!

WIll Never Return. We presented a Buy With Me coupon on my iPhone App only to be told it could not be accepted unless it was printed. No where on the all does it specify printing and the Buy With Me website indicates an iPhone app is acceptable. The manager was rude, condescending and refused to make any allowances saying he "would not lose his job" over this. I told him he had lost a frequent customer but he offered no apologies. We spent $20 for a $40 discount at mealtime and ended up paying $197 for the meal.

Not worth the price. The restaurant has a good atmosphere. However, the food quality doesn't reflect the price. I have been to many other brazilian steak houses and the quality of their meats are a lot better than what they offer here. Some of the types of meats that I tried were dried without any flavor whatsoever. Also, the service was very mediocre, it is not the service that you would expect from a place of this category. I make these comparisons based on my previous visit to Fogo de Chao.

Houston and The Woodlands worst restaurant. Our server was wonderful, however the management does not care about their patrons. My husband and I received a $100 Gift Card from a family member two years ago this coming Christmas. At the point of purchase, our family member verified several times that there was no expiration date on the gift card. In addition, there is no expiration date printed on the card. When we tried to redeem it they would not honor the gift card. We were celedrating my birthday with another couple so our total bill was quite large, we had several bottles of expensive wine, coffee, desert etc. The irreprehensible, unscrupulous behavior of Guri Do Sul's management is unforgivable. Next celebratory dinner we will make the drive to Houston and Fogo De Cao for an authentic, service oriented churrascaria! This would never happen at Fogo De Ciao! In fact, the quality of meat at Guri do Sul is inferior, I had to request beef tenderloin several times and waited over 30 minutes for one 3 oz. medallion while they brought their cheap cuts and under sized seafood to our table!! I have traveled Latin America exstensively, dined at numerous authentic churrascarias and never witnessed chicken legs on the menu!! Spend your money in town at Fogo De Ciao instead of the inferior, cheap imitation Guri Do Sul located in The Woodlands.

The Good Stuff. Salad bar is terrific. Meats are overly seasoned, but they were able to serve me meats on the skewer without salt. Haven't been there in a while, but it is time to make another visit after I skip breakfast! My mouth is watering for a couple of slices of picanha!

BEST steakhouse ever and nicely priced. I have taken my wife there for aniversary and also take the kids for a special occasion. They serve everything someone would want to eat at a reasonable price.

the woodlands best steakhouse. I finnally found a steak house that i would go very often with great severce and food in the woodlands area. It was my first time at Guri Do Sul. My wife suprize me on my birthday, i am long time fogo's fan, but Guri takes the cake, the severce was outstanding. Even the mgr came to check on us at least two to three times to make sure we were doing fine. The food was outsatnding, my favor however was the flank steak. In addition to having a great experience of a lifetime with this outstanding restaurant. For my Birthday they came to the table with a beautiful complimantary homemade Tres Leches. WOW!!!

Bottom line I will return to Guri do Sul and I will refere them to everyone!
