River Oak's/Houston's Best Hair Stylist. I was at the gym and stopped a woman who had a very polished haircut that would make most women envious, so of course, I stopped her!

We talked briefly and she gave me the name of her stylist and salon, which was the Traci Scott Salon on West Gray in River Oaks.

After leaving a message for a consultation, I was put in touch with the most professional and polite stylist I have ever dealt with and we made arrangements for the consult and follow up.

Everyone in the salon was accommodating and friendly, and I received the best cut and style I have ever had at age 41. I've had my hair cut at all the swanky and ambitiously over-priced places, but this man possesses superior skill in his profession. The best person in Houston for discriminating women with high-standards looking to look and feel their very best.

Oh! It's Alan.

I would recommend Alan to anyone... and I do!. Alan has been doing my hair for over a year and I always get compliments. Before I started seeing him I always had my hair short because no one could make it look good if it was much past my chin. Thanks to Alan I can have "long" (for me) hair and it looks great. He always asks me what I want to do when I sit down and I always say whatever you think. And it's always perfect! He is amazing with color as well. Justin has also done my color and did a superb job. Everyone is super friendly and it's a nice open space to relax in.

Terrific Hair Cuts by Alan Conover. I have been going to Alan Conover for over 10 years, following him as he's moved to several new salons.

Alan is friendly, the salon is relaxed and welcoming, and I always get a terrific cut. I frequently have highlights done, and Alan is wonderful with colors. (Just today, after visiting the salon, I got a compliment on how good the color looked -- and how it made me look much younger!).

Many of my friends have their hair cut by Alan: Once he's worked his magic on our hair, you'll never go back to anyone else!

Cion is AMAZING!. Cion knows hair, he has been cutting my hair for the last five years; it never gets boring. Cion is simply amazing. We always talk about what I would like and I feel extremely comfortable with him working on my hair because I know that when he is done, my hair will look great. The atmosphere of the salon is so relaxing and I love their coffee.

Cion is the ultimate professional!. He listens to my suggestions and repairs the mistakes I suggested, that don't work out. He never overbooks, so you do not feel rushed.

He "knows" color and gives the best haircut. I recommend him -- you won't be disappointed.

Paul is terrific!. Before Paul Reyes started doing my hair I was switching stylists every few months. I couldn’t find anybody I could depend on to make me look better on every visit and whose trims and styling and color made it easy for me to take care of my hair later. Paul is just terrific and I’ve been coming to him for several years and always feel great when he works his magic on me.

Incredible hair and service. What I love about Alan is as soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. He is so excited to not only talk to you yet give you the haircut/hilites or whatever the service is as if you are the most important person of the day. He is fun focused and dedicated to his work. Having my own busines as a lifestylecoach/personal trainer for over 15 years nothing beats customer service and consistency. So if you are looking for a hairstyle that is all about you and great service to boot Alan is the one for you. My hair looks great and he is always checking to make sure it fits your expectation. So sit back relax and enjoy the experience.

Always a great haircut. I absolutely love Alan and depend on him to keep my short hair style looking great. He listens, advises and produces fabulous results. This is a stylist who works with who you are and maximizes it to the fullest. Since meeting him some 5 years ago, I have had countless strangers come up to me and compliment me on my great haircut. Can it get any better?!

Best hairdresser in Houston - Cion. If you desire a very compassionate and talented hair dresser then you need to see Cion at Traci Scott Salon. Cion has been doing my hair for over 6 years and prior to him I have only had one other hair dresser in my umpteen years in Houston. Cion is truly gifted in hair color, cuts and styling. His first and foremost priority is to make you happy. I have naturally curly hair and with his talent in straightening, we manage my hair well in the Hot Houston Humid weather. I highly recommend Cion and love the salon that he has moved to with Alan and Paul at Traci Scott.
