Great family or date place.. Whether you're a fan of science or just want to spend a few hours in a relaxing, educational environment, this is the place for you. It's affordable, and a great place to take the kids. Also, it's right in the heart of the museum district and within walking distance from Hermann Park and the Houston Zoo.…
Worth it. Even though it's not advertised on their new website, Tuesday 2pm-8pm is the best time to go because the exhibits are free. I paid $5 for the dome show...kind of disappointing, but the stub got us the museum priced parking ($4). Overall it was a nice way to eat up some lazy summer hours for cheap!…
Chocolate... oh, Chocolate.
In a rush I bought tickets; 2 children 1 adult, I was stunned and I have to say a bit offended at the price of the event, but then again I assumed at the time it was a cause worth while, after all
chocolate... kids, culture? We ran up the stairs, one of the three staff members at the entrance was kind enough to take our tickets and then.... I have to say upon entering the exhibit rooms I realized the error of my ways. I don't know what I was expecting, something to the quality of other temporary exhibits. Room after room I found myself mesmerized at the lack of cohesion, repetitiveness and no guidance to interact with the attendees. Aside from a couple of video/recording presentations and some artifacts the event was a waste of time.
...store at the end is FULLY stocked with articles and 7 employees!!!…
