“It's location in Sugarland is nice and more of a Pub whereas the location in Katy is more of a restaurant than it is a Pub or Bar.”
“With all of the development going on in Katy for the past few years it's amazing that it has taken so long for a nice and newly updated place for the people to gather after hours and on the weekends.”

“Unfortunately Baker St. is a huge let down!”

Bikers beware! My husband and I rode all the way from Cypress to meet up with a group of friends only to be turned away at the door because he was wearing a bandana and I was wearing a "Save the TaTa's" headband. We were dressed in jeans and nice shirts (expensive Harley shirts) and yet that wasn't good enough for them...looking around I saw plenty of people in shorts, tshirts and flip flops but apparently choosing to protect our heads while riding is unacceptable to them......we left there and went down the road to Salt Grass Steak House.....yes, a steak house gladly let us in and took our money without discriminating against us because we ride motorcycles.
The absolute worst restaurant in Katy!.
First off, the smoking in this establishment is horrible. Disgustingly so. Choking clouds of noxious fumes at a table as far away from the bar as we could get.
We bailed to the patio. More smoking. Gross. Total turn off. If we hadn't been pressed for time we would have left.
The wait staff were shabbily dressed, unprofessional, and didn't seem to be in a great hurry to take care of anyone: except their friends. My son was served warm apple juice and when we asked for ice, it was like we were putting our server out. Not even an apology.
If there is an upside, the Tempura fish sliders were decent. It's the only thing that was.
I will never visit this establishment again and will most likely avoid all Baker Street Pubs from here on out.
Avoid during the weekends. THIS PLACE IS NICE AND ALL BUT SO FREAKIN CROWDED. THEY NEED MORE SEATING AND MORE WAITERS THAT DO THEIR JOBS A LITTLE BIT FASTER.
Check your tab the next day!!.
With all of the development going on in Katy for the past few years it's amazing that it has taken so long for a nice and newly updated place for the people to gather after hours and on the weekends. La Centerra is the ideal location for such an upscale place and when Baker St. opened up it was a welcomed and long anticipated addition to the Katy area. Unfortunately Baker St. is a huge let down!! It's location in Sugarland is nice and more of a Pub whereas the location in Katy is more of a restaurant than it is a Pub or Bar. On Fridays during Happy Hours and throughout the entire week now that I think about it - one has to contend with a crowd that consists of middleaged people trying to get out but want to bring their 7-12 yr old kids with them. I think the place prohibits kids after 1000 or 1100 at night but by that time Happy Hour is long over.
The service is horrible to say the least and buyer beware. Pay cash and do NOT open a tab. I just had AMEX place a permanent credit of $594 dollars after opening a tab in which the waitress kept hitting all night even 2 hours after I left. My total tab that night was only about $80!! Unfortunately, a co-worker of mine and a relative have had the same experiences at different times. My coworker left a $10 tip on a $24 dollar tab and the waitress added another $10 when he checked his card the next day. Also - my relative had a waitress add an additional tip to her minimal bill not once but twice. The first time she gave the pub the benefit of the doubt because it was about $10 extra dollars on a 60 dollar tab but the second time was a $15 tip on a $35 dollar tab over and beyond the tips that she left for them! Their receipts even have a questionable disclaimer on the front of them basicaly preparing you for an additional tip if you leave without closing the tab. The problem was none of us left our tabs. We closed out or so we thought.
I do not recommend this place and if you go do not pay with a ccard!!
