In Short – At 38,000 square feet, this restaurant near Ellington Field fills a serious date night void. The décor is toned-down casino with dozens of wall-mounted TVs rotating classical artwork, upscale casual furnishings and enough dining space to pick your desired decibel, including an all-glass private dining area on the second floor. Executive chef Paul Lewis (formerly of the Four Seasons) provides diners with a varied American menu, from seafood like crispy fish and chips or Mediterranean red snapper to slow-braised short ribs and 16-ounce rib eye.
Ambiance is nice.

We went out to Cullens in Pasadena for a birthday dinner last night. Some of the food was ok but not worth the price. My son had steak i tried it it had no flavor to me but he said it tasted like dog food. My grandson had the fish it was raw. The food is definitely not upscale like they advertise. And out of nine of us... six had bad stomach aches that night. I wouldn't recomend it for the food but the ambiance was nice. The service was slow. I will not be going back. But i would recomend morton's or papa's steak house.
- Pros: Ambiance
- Cons: Food and service
great drinks!

I recently visited the bar and grille at Cullen's and had a pretty good experience. I have been in the formal dining room before but this time we dined at the newer part of the restaurant which was a bit more casual. The drinks and burgers were very good. I had the grapefruit martini and club. Afterward we saw Mr. Hands Revenge in the club area. Great music, great food EXCELLENT drinks!
- Pros: drinks, martinis in particular, free valet
over rated food, nice atmosphere

My best friend and I decided to have a lil girls night with drinks and dinner. The bar area is cool and fun...you can dress up which is nice since the Clear Lake area is so laid back. Its nice to look hot and not stand out to much...so do it here. The food....poor! Maybe it was an isolated incident but nothing was good except for our lemon dressing on the wedge dinner salad which we didn't pay over $200 for. The filet was overcooked and lacked flavor..if you need steak sauce on a filet...the chef failed. Lobster Bisque....tasted like cream of mushroom soup with imitation crab meat. The server warned us it was "different" and he took it off the bill since we didn't eat it. That was nice. The mashed potatoes (forgot the fancy name) were bland...yuck. We ordered creme brulee....and it was not fired properly on top....just reg granduales of sugar. If you don't know dining...this will suffice. Wish I could say it was better but we both agreed not to go back...P*rrys is better. I must compliment the waitstaff...they were very friendly and attentive. prefessional waiters....not kids.
- Pros: you can dress up, nice ambiance and stiff drinks
- Cons: tried a little of everything...no bueno.
