Customer service is a joke. I called to purchase a niles speaker selector from them, upon him giving me a price, I ask what the model number is so that I can verify that it is indeed the part that I need. He tells me that he not going to give the the model number just so I can use him to price shop! How they are still in business I don't know. But what I do know is that after that I will never call, shop or refer this company to anyone ever again.
Modia does not honor pricing. Modia does not honor its pricing. I have tried to resolve a complaint with Modia since Thankgiving. I ordered 3 TVs online through their website. They cancelled the order with no explanation. After multiple attempts to resolve, I have given up on Modia forever. Customer service says a manager will call but never does. Be warned. If you get a good price, you will likely never receive your order. They caused me to miss out on lots of other specials while trying to get them to honor my order. I will not be doing business with Modia ever again.

MANAGED BY SUBPAR SALESMEN. My father, who has purchased several home theater items in the past from Modia, referred me to Mike Barron. In buying our Denon receiver from Modia last week, I can wholeheartedly say that this event has been a nightmare. Since purchasing this receiver, I have attempted to schedule a
Bad Service, bad follow up, incompetent people.
Over three years ago, we bought a home audio system from the Baybrook store, including music manager, satellite, and am/fm radios. The system has never worked as represented. Even after a replacement of the entire system, Modia and its service people can never get it all working. Latest issue is that they will not deliver and install the satellite radio antenna, and will not sell it to us to install ourselves.

Good Selection; Horrible Service. We found exactly the Blue Ray system we were looking for, and paid for it in January. And now it is April and we have finally cancelled the order, as they were unable to deliver the components. Every step of the way, service was poor -- unreturned phone calls, insufficient answers to questions. We really wanted to this system, but today we "said Uncle" and gave up, asking for a credit. We won't shop at Modia again.

This store is a rip off. Their service is terrible. I purchased two large Mitubishi TV's from them at high dollar price They have installed them and had to come back 4 times to fix the programming which still is not right. Each time they come out they have charged me over $500 each time saying it was something in the cableing that they installed! Both TV's still do not work right. Recently, their guy finished working on one of the new TV's and it broke completely and had to be hauled off and replaced with a new one which took over 10 weeks. Once it came they changed me over $580.00 to come and hook it up and program the new TV. They came out and showed up without the right parts so nothing was done. They still have not come back but they already had my check. They have never even called back to reschedule! Their service is terrible. Buyer beware for sure.

Barron the manager of Westheimer store(he did not show up the first time without calling) and threatened to sue them if he did not give me some money back. He promised a refund for work never performed by their installers (how nice). The credit to my credit card has never been made after 4 weeks. The system they worked on at my house at least 5 times still did not work so I called Houston Custom Installers who came and in one day fixed all the TV's and sound systems. They work great now. It cost $325 total and I have previously paid Modia over $3500 in installation fees! Modia does not stand by its work and is a rip off company. Run away from these guys.

On 11/28/10 I ordered a samsung 40" tv from Modia Home Theater. Since then, now 12 days, my emails go unanswered. I have made multiple calls and the people I speak with are hard to understand and their reasons for not shipping vary from person to person. Every questions I pose is met with "I'll have to check on that", "I'll get back to you" and then, nobody follows up. I call to follow-up and essentially I have to start over. Their chat line goes unanswered. They can't tell me what the status of the order is. I have dealt with Jason and Milhondra. All I get is excuses.
They sold the TV for $1,197 plus $25+- for shipping. I took their offer for 36 months to pay with no interest. I have come to suspect that the real problem with this order is that they sold the tv too cheap to absorb the cost of 0% interest financing. To test this hypothesis, I offered to forget about the no interest financing and use my credit card instead. They offered to ship the tv immediately. The obvious question then, was; so why can't you ship the tv now with the 0% financing? They told me that they needed certain paperwork from the bank to release the tv. I told them I already had the "credit" card with their name on it as issued by GEBank and all that's necessary is for them to charge it. Well, the excuse shifted to "I need you to sign the charge slip". I argued some more with no upside. The next day, Hitesh sent me an email with the purported charge slip and asking for a scan of my driver's license. That was spooky. Funny thing was, the charge slip had nothing to do with me. The name on it was for Nicole XXXX, the account number was different and the order number was not mine. I have sent several emails about this and neither Hitesh or anyone else responded. SCAM?
For all I know, this could be a very legitimate business. However, based on the way its employees act it conjures up serious questions about the legitimacy of this organization. Based on my experience thus far over these soon to be 13 days, it seems to me that Modia Home Theater is either a very well organized scam operation or its owner and chief executive, Mihir Mody, hasn't a clue about managing anything.
I plan to file a formal complaint with the Texan authorities for Modia's suspicious activities and will advise GEBank about the shenanigans being perpetrated on its customers.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MODIA HOME THEATER TO ANYONE. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND MANAGEMENT IS WEAK AT BEST.
