Ok for girls nite out

Not enough people in the place Dont let them park your car. Park it on the street and the place doesnt pick up till about 12:30am and still not a huge crowd. They need the DJ from Drinkery on Washington and the place may have a better turn out.

• Pros: Comfy places to sit and be silly
• Cons: Very small!!! Vallet outside

I Love It!

Met some friends at Citizen a couple of weeks ago and despite of all the bad reviews that everyone here is saying, I love this place! The drinks are a bit expensive but small price to pay for a nice place to go. The beautiful crowd was a mix of everyone and not young at all compared to all the other trendy places everyone goes to. Aaron the manager was very nice and took care of our every need. I'm just inlove with the beautiful waitress that took care of our table. She just wasn't there to look pretty, she worked her butt off and made sure we were good the whole time. Citizen's decor was fabolous, it made me feel like i was away from Houston. I'm from Vegas and frequently club at the best places and the music at Citizen was top notch! The Dj was on fire! I didn't get a chance to meet the dj responsible because of the dj booth's location, but he layed it down. The playlist went from current House, Top 40, Mash-ups, 80's, 90's and even some Hip-Hop. This is the place to go if you are a music lover with class and it sure was not the type of played out music that everyone else plays. You stay Classy Citizen! Don't listen to the haters! I will definitely party at Citizen and invite all my friends to come through.

I WENT HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO MEET MY WIFE AND HER SISTERS INSIDE AFTER WORK ON SAT. I PULLED UP TO VALET AND PAID 20 DOLLARS TO PARK MY EXPENSIVE CAR.I WENT UP TO THE DOOR JUST TO BE TOLD THAT I COULDNT GET IN BECAUSE THERE WAS TOO MANY GUYS INSIDE. I THEN SAID THAT MY WIFE IS IN THERE AND IF THERE IS TOO MANY GUYS IN THERE I WANT HER OUT, SO GO GET HER. THE GUY AT THE DOOR TOLD ME THAT IF WANT HER TO COME OUT I NEED TO CALL HER ON HER PHONE . I WAS SO ANGRY I WALKED AWAY AND CALLED MY WIFE OUT OF THERE. I SPEND MONEY WHEN I GO OUT AND ITS OBVIOUS THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY. THEY JUST CARE ABOUT FEELING LIKE THEY ARE A MANHATTAN OR HOLLYWOOD LOUNGE. WHAT ANGERS ME THE MOST IS THAT THE $7.00 HR DOOR MAN IS THE ONE TELLING ME I CANT GET IN. I ALREADY KNOW THAT THESE GUYS RAN ANOTHER CLUB CALLED HUE AND IT'S SHUT DOWN. I SEE WHERE THIS BAR IS HEADING. I ALREADY MADE PHONE CALLS TO THE CITY INSPECTORS. LETS SEE WHAT VIOLATIONS THEY FIND IN THERE. THANKS FOR NOTHING CITIZEN

WORST PLACE EVER I will never go there again

My first time at Citizen was not a good Experience it was for a Bachelors party. I went to the bar to get a drink and it took for ever to get a drink is not like if they were crowded it so i pay with my credit card, but the surprise was nex day I look at my bank account and I see three charges, charges that I never made.

Fun bar!

I have been to Citizen many times and I have always had a great experience. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming (hardwood floors, granite var, stone, etc.). I have met the owner on several occasions and he goes out of his way to make sure everyone is well taken care of and enjoying themselves.
