Editorial Review for Pagoda Vietnamese Bistro & Bar – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Modern Asian décor and authentic Vietnamese fare saves Inner Loopers the drive to Bellaire. This family-owned bistro is ideal for a casual lunch or late-night date spot for couples sipping Pagoda's signature lychee martinis. The menu features the requisite vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, banh mi baguette sandwiches and pho, but it's the unexpected flavors such as white asparagus crab soup, lamb with lemongrass mint sauce and caramelized catfish that delight diners. Brunch is served on weekends until 2pm.

I'm a regular for lunch at Pagoda and it's by far my favorite VIetnamese place! I'm not sure why the other reviews are so bad. My experience has always been pleasant. The place is beautiful and the food is good. My favorite I always order is the shaking beef! I've tried coming back several times but looks like they underwent hurricane damage. I hope they reopen soon!

Pogoda what can i say it had it positives and its negatives. My negative was that it was way over priced for vietnamese food when i could have went down the street to get the food for less than half the price and had a better taste. The positive on that night i believe my waiter picked up my tab. the truth is i ordered 4 pogoda rolls and i only got 2 cut in half to make 4, they should have just said 4 pieces. the other positive was the restaurant looks nice but the negative the parking lot was way too small.

Pros: decor, location,

Cons: parking, price, service,
