WOW! just WOW. Who knew...

Honestly the best po-boy in town, and there are some great ones.

Super friendly staff, great food, can't wait to go back (and will very soon).

Good food and service. A couple of weeks ago, I went by BB's for the first time and I had the Tuesday plate special (pecan crusted chicken w/ a creole sauce, roast beef mac and cheese, and a salad with corn and black beans). Everything was delicious and the service was good. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were a few customers so the wait time for my food was short. My only drawback would be the parking because there is only a couple of spaces in front of the business and they are located in a small strip center so close parking is limited. At the time I went, I was able to find a spot right in front of the door. If the restaurant was more packed, you'd probably have to park somewhere else and walk.

Great gumbo fast service. I havent tried their peach cobbler but I did have a fantastic bowl of sausage, chicken gumbo that rivaled my Maw Maw's own gumbo. Good dark roux. I thought the service was excellent and will be back for more

Overhyped?. Went to BB's craving peach cobbler one Saturday evening thinking they would make it like the ones I've eaten growing up in Houston. I was deeply disappointed. They gave me a generous amount of bland dough, not-that-sweet peaches in thick juice pretty much.

Service wasn't the best like I had read in other reviews. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly that night. I personally found the restaurant pretty cramped (and I'm tiny!). Those who think it has character may prefer the term "snug and cozy".

The restaurant is kind of hard find. The gas station next to it easily hides it. When I did finally locate the restaurant, I found a small parking lot (shared with another store I think). There were probably less than 10 parking spaces.

Even though I threw away 3/4's of my overpriced peach cobbler - void of the spirit to even doctor it up with simple butter, sugar and spices - I still gave the place an extra star. Why? Because I give every place a 2nd chance In hopes that evening's lackluster service was a rarity and the dishes they're known for is better. Maybe they just don't do desserts well. Don't waste my extra star BB's!

Boring. I thought that the meat inside the sandwich was tough which required me to need a knife to cut it up. The place seems sort of cheap (in quality). There is hardly no Cajun food on the menu, trust me. Just sandwiches or a little seafood here and there. I was not pleased and will not be back.

please bbs, fix your gumbo!. I really want to like this place. I really do. But something HAS to be done about the gumbo. It tastes off and has zero spice. It should be their 'go to' dish but it is just bad. Same for the red beans and rice. The fried shrimp is flavorful and awesome and I expected to have the oysters, crawfish and catfish fried in the same batter but they were bland and awful too! Tasted like mushy Sysco coating.

The staff is so sweet and the po boys ARE great but fix the gumbo! Please! I know you know how!!

Lots of love went into this place!!!!!!!! Food is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!. At first I was thinking ....what the heck.....a Cajun Gumbo place here in the heart of Montrose! As his Landlord I have to say I am Damn proud of him. Young, fresh out of college with a concept that has taken the Montrose area by storm and have to say that I am Damn proud of Brook. Brook, we are proud of you!

Great catering, great customer service!. I utilized this restaurant for a 1st time employee catering (for about 500 people). They were professional, courteous, and the food was very well received. The food was delivered and set up, ready to serve with time to spare. The owner, Brooks, was friendly and accommodating to all that came through the line. The food was delivered throughout the day to ensure fresh, hot sandwiches to all employees.

I even received a follow up, personalized "thanks" from Brooks...A+ customer service! Way to go and yes, we'll try Mexican or Italian the next time!

Gotta try it!. I love this place. The food is great and the atmosphere is easy and fun. The owner is especially a cool guy, he and his family put a lot of love into this restaurant. Inside the loop this is a great spot for anyone who likes quality and uniqueness.

Great food, great vibe. Don't pass up this great little place on the corner of Montrose and Westheimer. It's a little hidden behind the convenience store but well worth it once you walk in. My friends and I went there for lunch and immediately upon walking in, I felt a really great vibe. I hate to use that word but it's the one that fits. We ordered poboys and the veggie bisque combo. Everything just tasted good. No need to talk about specifics because I'm not a food critic. Every bite was just good and the atmosphere was so enjoyable.
