To all that needs to know. The Pooch Pad has always valued their clients and take any and all allegations and concerns serious. We feel that City Search is a wonderful way on how to reach potiential customers and give clients a place to express or relate their experiences. How ever when facts are left out, the story becomes inaccurate and this public discussion is not achieved. It becomes a place for people to "vent" or get "even"! With no intent to inform others so they can make educated decissions. We are family owned and operated and have plenty of yard space for all our dogs to run and enjoy their stay. We are semi cage - free. Our business has been built on intgrity and honesty. We stand apart from our competition by providing oustanding customer service. We can not and do not presume to think that we can avoid challenges and danger when handling all animals. Especially when they are "matted" to the skin. Your pet can be hurt or injured because of the matts is very high. In order to be able to shave off a matted coat the Groomer must get under the matts down to the the skin level to successfully remove them. This takes time and we have a combined experienced of over 25yrs. Groomers do charge for their skills and the time it takes to complete a groom and we do inform our clients of any extra charges. Well, lets face it we live in Texas and fleas and ticks are an annoyances, they have been around for years. They have a life cycle similar to the butterfly life cycle. We do try to educate our clients that even though we exterminate our facillity monthly it doesnt stop the cycle forever. So please put your pet on prevenative because 5 percent of fleas will be found on pets. We strive to be the best and to give your pet the best quality and service ever.

Hands down the worst experience I have had with pet care. The employees’ behavior is absolutely deplorable! I boarded my dog here for a quick trip and it was hands down the worst experience I have had with pet care and customer service in general. When I went to pick up my dog from Pooch Pad the gate was locked and was not able get a hold of anyone by phone (this was during their Saturday business hrs of 2-4). Got a hold of someone around 4:45 and was told I had to wait until the next day at 5 to pick her up, even though I did everything in my power to get her during the business hrs (The excuse for no one answering the phone was that the lines act up when they are on the internet…….?) I dealt with two different women and they were both unbelievably rude. I showed up a little early the next day, around 4:55. My dog saw me pull up and started whining so I decided to say hello and try to calm her down. I was then yelled at to get away from the gate, had the gate door slammed and locked in my face, and was told they did not open until 5 (it was literally 4:58). She even argued with me about the color of my leash. I was left shocked and disgusted by the time we got in the car. If the horrendous service doesn’t make you think twice, the dogs are kept in crates most of the time. They have 1 room used for daycare (small breed) and 1 filled with crates. There are 2 small areas outside but the few times I have been there I have only seen 2 dogs in the yard, 1 including my dog when we went to pick her up. Please, please look elsewhere for any pet needs.

Highly Recommend. I love taking my dog to The Pooch Pad. He knows exactly where he is going every morning and is always excited. He is normally very timid, but openly goes with the owner and staff because they treat him very well. My dog has been bathed and kept overnight at The Pooch Pad and he is always groomed and treated wonderfully. I always recommend others to take their furry friend to The Pooch Pad at the dog park because of their professionalism and hospitality.

Best grooming business in the city!!!. I absolutely love the work that's done at the Pooch Pad. Not only do they have excellent groomers, but the staff is amazing. They are very accomodating and always make me and Coco feel welcomed. I have already recommended them to everyone I know.

love this place!!!!!!!. me and my baby love this place!!!! its so clean and cozy, they treat him like family and know exacly how to make him feel loved! ill never go anywhere else :)

Terrible Place For Your Dog. Extremely Disappointed with the Pooch Pad. I'll never trust my dog to these people again. Rude owner. Unfriendly place. No attention at all. Pets are caged most of the time. DON'T DO IT!!!

3 Strikes and You're OUT!. I am very disappointed with the Pooch Pad. I have been bringing my dog in for grooming appointments over the last 6-8 months, but this last time was the last time she will ever be back. Strike one was when we went to pick my dog up and they couldn't find her...she had been accidentally locked in the bathroom without them knowing for who knows how long! Strike two was when I went to pick her up and she was in a cage! I specifically chose the Pooch Pad because it is supposed to be "cage free." The third strike was the fact that they cut my dog's stomach with the razor and then took no accountability for it when we brought it up. In fact, the owner yelled at us for bringing it up! We will certainly not be back to the Pooch Pad. There are plenty of other nicer grooming/boarding facilities in Houston to choose from.

Your dog will be happy. At home atmosphere. Personal attention to detail is given to the animals and owners. The people working here love animals and it shows.

My dog got to play outside and interact with other dogs instead of just being kenneled. The grooming was better than she has had in years. Don't listen to the bad reviews, they must be angry competitors.

These are the people you want taking care of your pet! Will recommend to everyone.

Great grooming!. I began looking for a grooming salon for my toy poodle after having a terrible experience with the petsmart grooming salon. I wanted to find a place that would love my dog and take good care of him. When I called the pooch pad the people there made me feel so comfortable about leaving my dog there to get groomed.

When i came back to pick him up he looked great! He was so happy and was running around playing with all the other little dogs. It feels so good to be able to trust that my dog will not only get a great haircut, but he will also be loved and cared for. The Pooch Pad is so great that we will not go anywhere else!
