It's your typical sports bar - tons of beer specials, giant screen and greasy bar food. Get in a game of skeeball during commercials.
This large sprawling hangout/pub is a great place to grab pre and post event drinks if your planning on going to a concert next door
Fun place. We really enjoy going to Lucky's Pub for lunch, and hit it occasionally for dinner when we are going to a game or a concert at Warehouse. Good food, fun place.
Great place to chill downtown.... We go there all the time as the atmosphere is amazing and fun.The staff are fun too.
LOVE IT!.
I've eaten at Lucky's several times and thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. A casual atmosphere. The waitstaff is welcoming and service is prompt. The dinner menu features, among other things, a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and off the wall items, which are very reasonably priced. The servings are generous and quite tasteful!
The beer selection is one of the best in the city and there is always a special! For a relaxing and pleasant evening out among friendly people, I would recommend Luckys to anyone.
Awesome Bar - Great Pizza.
Met my friends there for a happy hour event. The food was really good - especially their pizza - it was awesome. The servers were great too, there were about 40 in our group and we all had great service. The place was packed, it's a lot bigger on the inside than it looks like from the outside - everyone seemed to be having fun - I know I did.
And, they have free parking behind their building and across the street. I'll be back !
Great for sports and more.
This bar is huge with tons of different rooms
Went to the Astros game, got to park for free in Lucky's parking lot, got a $1 domestic draft(their special during the Astros games!), and then caught their free shuttle to the game.
What a great idea!
I'm gonna have to setup a happy hour in their lounge soon!
Bad waitress service. My husband and I went on a week night to watch a game... so we ordered a pitcher of beer by the second pitcher I asked for some limes an the waitress said they were out but yet we kept seeing people with tecate and lime and one of our friends comes to the table with a cup full of limes... that realy pissed me off (she was so lazzy to go to the bar and get me some that she said they were out)... so after the game had finished I decided to close the tab and told my hubby not to tip her cause she pissed me off.. don't get me wrong we're good tipper when we gwt good service afterall thats what it's for. So as I was headed to the restroom before we left and as soon as I got in she went to aske my hubby why wasn't she tipped and if he was a cheap ass he should go somewhere else.. we talked to the mngr all he said was sorry and i'll treat you to a shot or a pitcher. the place is nice food is supper good and is very spacious. We might go back but next time we won't deal with waitresses by going straight to the bar... we'll see how that goes!
Great burgers...young crowd....
We've went a few times during "off" daytime hours for a quick beer while we were out walking. Service was great but the pint glasses were "soapy" so we ordered canned cheap beer on special.
We went once during a busy time at night, and it was a madhouse. We tried getting a beer at the bar, but failed after a few minutes and just went home.
We're thirty-somethings, and the night crowd didn't really suit us well anyways. It's not a "pub"....it's a huge college sports bar, IMHO. Not that a big frat party is a terrible thing, just not usually where I hang out at night.
One afternoon we tried the burgers and fries, and they were great. But, they were VERY expensive. Add a slice of cheese, fries, a beer or two, and the tip, and you're looking at $20 each for lunch. I guess all the people from the suburbs in for the ball games are used to paying that much, so they get away with those prices. Downtown/EaDo locals know better. ;)
Very spacious...I'm sure we'll swing in there again one afternoon just for some beers with friends.
Great Pizza, solid new menu (Jan 09). Anywhere that carries PBR is saying something. Huge 21 foot HD screen for the games, TVs all over, great front porch, huge patios all around. Pizza is awesome, the new burger is now among the best in town, moist, and loaded with flavor. BLT sliders are just evil, and don't forget the famous Philly Cheessesteak Eggrolls. Great drink specials, the Loft upstairs is sweet, and the back lounge is available for special events of 20 - 50 people. If you go for the catering, Chef Darren can make anything you like. (Sea Bass! in a pub? In a pub!). Did I mention the pizza and beer? I love this place.
Not so Lucky's. This used to be a great hang out. My friends and I have been frequent patrons since its inception for lunch, dinner, happy hours and before and after games. Having said that, in the past the wait staff was friendly, the bartenders were considerate and the owner seem to care about the image the bar had. After having lunch there, we had to go to the bar, the waitress was not attentive, and never came after she was asked. The last straw was after a game, it was busy, we ordered food. After an hour of waiting and not receiving our food, we inquired. We sat and watched the bartender and waitress contend with who was at fault, only for the waitress in the end refusing to serve us. Once a great place to hang out, Lucky's has lost the business of some very loyal customers. Good luck.
Most Suburban bar inside the loop. First the place is huge; the fact that pub is in the name is very misleading. Second, the crowd is something you would expect to find in the distant suburbs of say Kingwood, or Sugarland. The location is good, I will give it that and the waitstaff is friendly. But with cars being broken into all the time, is security really too expensive?
