Christian's Tailgate Washington Ave.. Read reviews online about this place ranking in the top 5 burger joints in Houston. Burger was medium-well to done, though I was told the burgers were cooked @ medium. The bald-headed cashier/bartender was way less than hospitable and pretty much a jerk. I walked in and he stared at me like I had a horn growing out of my forehead; after prompting him to tell me how the burgers were cooked/where I was supposed to order my food, he finally talked. Burger was overcooked, but onion rings were good. Management please hear me....this kid at the register is not behaving well.

If you like burgers and $1 beer. I think they have one of the best burgers in town. It’s a relaxed atmosphere with a patio facing Bagby. The happy hour specials are great way to save money on Mondays and Wednesdays with $1 beers. If your looking for a good deal in Midtown, this is a good place to check out.

Love this place. This is a great place to hang out with your guys.

The burgers are awesome and relatively cheap (~$7-8 for a combo). It's also usually not too packed until late, so it's easy to chill here for a few hours.

They also have great deals on domestic pitchers...$5 for happy hour times. This is definitely one of the better deals I've found around midtown.

On top of that, they have darts and shuffleboard! I would highly recommend Christian's

A Must Try Houston Burger. This is one of the best burgers in the city, hot, juicy, paper wrapped grease ball of flavor heaven. Cheap beer by the pitcher at lunch. This place morphs into a bar at night, and I've not been there then, only at lunch. The original location on Washington is a legend (for a reason).

No fuss, no fancy, no frills. For a quick & small lunch group (there are no large table seatings), it's fine. Good, basic rib-sticking food. Don't come if you're on a diet. Lots of fried foods. It's low-key, quick moving great for a non-intimate lunch.

Cleanliness an issue. Dropped by for some burgers with friends. Two people fell ill the next day. Tables are pretty greasy, condiment bottles are greasy too. They need to learn basic hygiene. The burgers are pretty good, but I could do without being sick.

Tasty burger, but the place is like a clown car.. Overall, this place was good, EXCEPT management should really control how many people they allow to be packed in there at one time. Isnt there a fire code to enforce this? With that said, I will be back, but I'll be sure to get the hell out before the place turns into a cattle drive.

What a burger!. Arguably the best burger in town. Eat here often! Make shure to go the Midtown location. The cashier at the Washington location will yell at you .

WHATS GOOD FOR CHRIS!!!!! Great Burger. Great Area, Corner (FYI). Nice looking bar, very clean. Get there early if not it will be a long line, don't be alarmed because the burger looks very small. The patty is very thick, juicy, nice flavor, buns toasted and warm. The fries were ok, good but nothing to talk about. The Onion rings were crispy and good. I would definitely go back especially during happy hour. Blue Moon and a great Burger is always good!
