DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!.
We arrived to check in and the lady was rude first off. Her name was Erin. One of the other ladies gave the guy she was checking in maps and other local information, but our lady just checked us and completely ignored the requests we put in over the phone the night before.
So we got to our room and it was any regular hotel room. Didn't look like the sort of hotel you should have to pay $170 per night for. Not worth the money. The was a 2 inch gap below the door to the room - which cause for a cold draft that night. The bed seemed to be 20 yrs old. It was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept on. We called at midnight to ask them for a mattress pad. The lady said there was one on the bed (could have fooled me) and that they could not give us another one.
I tried to sleep on the chair with the ottoman and failed miserably. 30 minutes later I called the front desk again and asked if we could check out - and mentioned I refused to pay full price for the couple of hours we spent in the room. The one good thing is that lady (Josie) called her manager immediately and called us back. They let us check-out with no charge. I will never stay at this hotel again. For that price I'd rather stay at the San Luis next door. We ended up driving to Clute and staying at a hotel there we had stayed at previously.
