This is my neighborhood stop for nigiri sushi + <3 the 7d/wk HH . But don't miss some of the other dishes on Chef Nemoto's menu.

Excellent nigiri and specialty items by chef Chris Nemoto. Uni, hamachi and salmon are noteworthy. Green tea cheesecake is yummy too

if i could post this without giving it even one star, i would. i got there with my friend. a waiter came to us and was clueless. we asked for edamame and he spoke no english, so we gave up on that. i asked him what was in the seafood salad and he had no idea. he asked the chef and came back saying "fresh fish." i said "i hope its fresh! WHAT KIND?" he said

"I'm not sure" in some delirious tone and walked away. 5 minutes passed. looked around for him and saw him laughing with someone at the bar. PATHETIC! not sure how this terrible place stays in business. DISGRACE! !we walked out; not giving them a penny.

Over it – I've been going here for years and have noticed lately that the experience is not nearly as enjoyable or tasty as it used to be. For example, a few months ago the chef offered us a roll while we were at the sushi bar - something new he was working on. We were charged $15 for that roll. Also, we ordered some tuna nigiri yesterday that was very fishy and had a strange, almost previously frozen, texture. The chef replaced our 4 pieces with 4 pieces of the same yucky tuna, and our waiter charged us for the 2 we ate (and spit out). Just doesn't seem right.

I used to really enjoy going there- it's a great location, cool space, really quiet, but it seems to now be more expensive and poorer quality. I can do better at a lot of other places, so I'm over Zushi for now.

Awesome atmosphere and delivery – I went here with my girlfriend recently and the place is amazing inside. It is modern and extremely nice. We had a few drinks and a few maki rolls that were awesome. I reccomend the deadliest catch and rainbow rolls! Overall, a good atmosphere, good location, and really amazing, fresh tuna. We also recieved discounts by becoming part of their member email list at zushihouston website.

Terrible – Thought this was going to be a delicious sushi dinner but was completely unsatisfied.

In a nut shell, the wine was hot, waited an hour for 2 rolls, one was good, the other was terrible (poor quality and NOT what we ordered) I consider myself a sushi connoisseur and this was not quality sushi. When we inquired we were told that was normal.

I expect bad service to be acknowledged and apologized for, but to disregard your poor service and quality and then slap a $100 bill on the table (for 2 diners) is unacceptable in my book.

I will not be dining here again!!

I always enjoy it here – I frequent this establishment, sometimes as much as 2 times a week. All the servers are very good. I mean there has been a few times the food took a few minutes to get... but it was always worth it.

They have a great happy hour too! I reccomend it.

Try the tamago.. YUM!

Great Sushi – I love to come here with my friends. Has a good atmosphere and the music is usually pretty good. I always order the Miso soup, it is by far my favorite soup, because its a great starter before digging into the hand rolled sushi. Also there udon is quite tasty and was a good experience the first time I tried it. My favorite things to order from the sushi list is always the unagi, eel, tuna, yellow-tail and usually the salmon. You can never go wrong with salmon or the eel. Overall I always enjoy coming here to eat and relax with friends and occasionally with my family since we all are big on eating sushi whenever w

Don't Waste Your time!!! – If you’ve bought their $15 off $30 worth coupon from Groupon. Don't waste your time to go spend it in there. We did not know there are so many restrictions to use the coupon until we were ready to pay our bill. End up we CANNOT use it. We wasted 15 dollars to buy a useless coupon from Groupon. They don't tell you all the restrictions before you purchase the coupon. According to our waiter, we are not the first. They’ve dealt with the same issues with their customer in the past months and a lot of customers are not happy with it. I can’t believe the owner don’t do anything about it. POOR management and false coupon.

juju are you serious. This is industry standard. You just don't get out that much do you. I checked out all the feedbacks that you left and nothing more than one star and all you ever complaint is about the drink prices.... you should just head to the liquor store and drink at your own pleasure which is at your house

not particularly worth the wait – I was looking forward to trying this restaurant after buying the Groupon for $15 off $30 worth of food. We sat down and asked the waiter for a minute before deciding what to get. Little did we know our waiter would use that as an excuse to forget about us. I could see him going around to the other tables, but thanks to the large wooden furniture next to our table, it was hard to get his attention. The bartender happened to notice our displeasure, and took over. Our "waiter" came to take our order 10 minutes after the bartender did, and that was the last we heard from him.

The food was well prepared. I ordered the large chirashi, and it was fresh, presented nicely, and there was plenty of it. My only gripe is that it came in a wooden steamer, and the slats on the bottom made it somewhat hard to eat the rice. We were also pleased with the desserts -- I enjoyed the green tea ice cream, which lacked the usual bitterness of green tea.

Despite the good food and our attentive bartender-turned-water, the experience left a bitter taste in our mouths. It felt as if the $15 we saved with the Groupon was actually paid with our time. Thankfully there are plenty of other restaurants in Houston where I can get my sushi fix.

Disappointed in Service; Sushi was mediocre – Since our dollars only stretch so far these days, I recommend skipping this place and taking advantage of how competitve the food market is in this town - we have so many good options and this isn't one of them!

I was excited to try this restuarant only to be disheartened by poor service. The sushi was ok but have enjoyed better sushi at many other places in town that offer a complete package of a relaxing, enjoyable evening. A few notable things that ruined the dining experience for me:

- the waiter was not attentive, though there were only about 5 other tables seated at the time. I had to get up and search him out after a long wait after initial contact. The service remained slow throughout the night.

- the wait-staff was ill-informed on beverage options and didn't even know what kind of specialty drinks the bar offered. We had to ask twice about drinks beyond beer and wine and the waiter seemed bothered by our inquiry. Isn't the bar how restaurants make money?

- the valet is not complimentary but it seems to be the only real option when you arrive. In fact, he asked me to give him $5 upon my arrival (thought that was awkward), then handed me my keys about 30 minutes later (he was leaving, it was a slow night). He left with my money.

- I called the manager to share my experience with him/her. They never called me back after I left a message with the hostess during a non-busy time at the restaurant.

Take your hard-earned money elsewhere for a better dining experience. I plan to.

Just another overpriced Sushi Restaraunt! – Service was good, but the Sushi was way overpriced especially for the quality. I don't know who they are paying to write these reviews especially the one before mine. Location is bad and hard to get to. Nowhere really to park.

There are better Sushi Restaraunts out there, especially for the price.
